Which Indian / Pakistani cricketer timed their retirement perfectly?

From India i could think of Ganguly, Dravid, VVS Laxman and Anil Kumble.

Not sure about Pakistan but i think Inzi bhai and Younis retired at the right time.

Gavaskar and Ganguly to some extent, Ganguly was set to be dropped if kept on playing and he was already out of odi team.

Imran Khan was pale shadow of himself in 1992 , he had retired in 1987 first then came back for his hospital (rightly so) that is the biggest achievement by any player in my view.So many players have earned more more money but no has done what Imran Khan has done.

I have no idea if that hospital still is free for public, if it is, it is greatest achievement by a cricketer.

IMRAN KHAN rings a bell?

I was great fan of Imran Khan! Don't know whether you followed him like I followed him or not!!!
He didn't declared about his retirement after winning 1992 world cup!!
All player were against him after his speech in prize giving ceremony!!
I still remember one comment of Salim Malik what hurt me a lot at that time!! That was about England tour which was scheduled after the world cup!!! Salim Malik said in a Interview " There is no place for imran Khan in sqad!! "
Though that hurt me that time!!! But that was true for that time!! He doesn't deserve a place in team on merit that time!!!!
Imran was wrongly or affectionately retired after 1987!!! Which was not perfect time for him in any means!!!

Imran Khan, can't get better then winning the WC. Akram and Younis as well. Inzi went at the right time as well. Then there is Afridi who got it right the 10th time! He is like that kid at school who always came last in every exam!
