Cricket - the game of dreams, drama, and glory! As fans, we're blessed with four incredible ICC tournaments that show the best of the best.

But, let's be honest, we all have a soft spot for one special event that gets our hearts racing and our passions soaring. For some, it's the iconic World Cup, where legends are born and history is written. For others, it's the thrilling T20 World Cup, where unpredictability reigns supreme and underdogs can become heroes. Then there's the prestigious Champions Trophy, where the top dogs battle it out for supremacy, and the grueling Test Championship, where the toughest of the tough prove their mettle.

So, which one makes your heart skip a beat?
 
For an old timer like me - has to be the WTC.
 
ODI world cup traditional in a reasonably less fluky format. WT20 started out with interest. But right now i see that as a good way of promoting hte sports. Nothing else. Otherwise league cricket is better. WTC is a farce given the nature of Tests. You cannot call any condition neutral in Tests for a one off match. Whoever tops the table should be the winner of WTC. Consistency should be rewarded. NZ fluked into final and got the right conditions right after Test series with ENgland. India went from IPL to WTC final. It is not level playing field.
 
ODI world cup.

Test championship hasn't built the prestige yet and people will always prefer long bilateral series to see who is the better side.

T20 world cup happens too often.

Champions Trophy isn't consistent enough in timing or format to really make it's mark. If it was up to me I think it should eventually get made into T20 format so you have a 2 year cycle between T20 world cup and T20 champions trophy. Champions trophy can be a 6 team league or something and world cup is the 20 teams to give minnows a shot.
 
Nobody cares about WTC. Most don't even watch it. ODI WC > T20 WC> Champions Trophy.
 
ODI because that’s what I grew up watching, but now have time only to watch T20 Wc coz two new balls killed ODI for me.
 
ODI World Cup is the pinnacle of Cricket IMO. I do however believe something like T30 can be the best one stop shop format for Cricket.

T20--> Purely for entertainment and awareness. Should stick to league Cricket. I dont really find any of World T20 entertaining, it was mostly serious with slow sluggish pitches.

Top 3 or Top 5 teams can stick to Test Cricket just to ensure their dominance in Cricket.

I think World T20 is the least prestigious among the 4 ICC events.

World T20 is junk like French fries.

Yes, it has become an extended version of T20. You need power hitters too in ODI going forward.

It's the most important trophy for players and fans.

Test Championship is too new and T20 World Cup does not have the same prestige. Champions Trophy shouldn't even be in the poll it's that far down the list.

I think CT should be scrapped. There is already ODI WC. There is no need for CT.

Yes ,CT is not needed now .

We have World Cup for ODI

World T20 for T20 .

WTC for test ( But need a lot change like a one of match can't decide the winner. Its should be best of three final ,3 test match series and Every team needs to play same match with each other )

I am okay with scrapping WTC also. They should go back to what it was before (#1 would get the mace).
 
ODI world cup and it's not even close.

It has legends , prestige and history of 50 years. 1983, 92 and 96 have impacted the socio-political fabric of South Asia. That says everything you need to know.
 
There’s 1 every 3 months & it’s set up for a certain team to win.. just treat them as a circus. Thank god for the ashes & a few test matches here & there!!

WTC is meanigless due to format. Test cricket is all about how you do in den of strong oppositions. No one will rate NZ high in test due to WTC because they find it hard to win even a single test in Aus and India.

WC T20 happens so frequently. I think frequency dilutes the prestige here. Also, T20 as format means much weaker teams can win on given day.

What do you think About Champions Trophy? I honestly don't understand the point of it. It shouldn't have been launched in the first place.

ICC tried to generate revenue for them by champions trophy becuase ODI WC was once every 4 years. Champions trophy was never seen anywhere close to WC in ODI. But now due to ICC having other ways to generate revenue, makes it hard to have champions trophy when we already have ODI WC.

There was a point of it when it came.
 
Generally it's the ODI WC for sure, but 2 of the last 3 editions have been so terrible imo I don't know what to think anymore. But this is recency bias so I'd still say it's the ODI WC.. the grant tournament in all of cricket.

T20 impacted India as well, IPL wouldn’t be this bog hadn't it been for T20 2007.

ODI World Cup is the biggest. T20 is a lottery, tests are too long. ODI World Cup is the tournament to win. I’m sure if most players were asked they would feel the same. It’s a combination of the skills required in t20 and test format, the ultimate game.
 
World test championship is a fake event and not really structured.

T20 wc happens way too often for it to count a lot.

ODI WC has its own special significance especially for folks who grew up in the 90s. But as ODI as a format dies, I guess the t20 wc will overtake it

I think it's fine. There need to be measurement for team progress every 2 years, since 4 years is a bit too long. It's obviously not as prestigious as WC due to format structure.

It was launched to generate money for ICC - bcoz the ICC was nearly bankrupt in the mid 90s. When Jagmohan Dalmiya became ICC chief , he had to ask BCCI to lend some money to keep ICC afloat

The Ct has been scrapped and reintroduced so many times, hard to take it that seriously
 
For me, who has been watching cricket since the early 2000s, the ODI World Cup is still the major tournament and the biggest event in cricket, followed by the T20 Championship and the Champions Trophy. The ICC needs to find ways to make the Test Championship equally interesting and global.
 
The reason WTC has least value among everyone is because Bilateral test series have a lot of value.

ODI bilaterals or worse T20 bilaterals no one cares about.

It would had had a lotta value had ICC started it in 1975 itself
 
ODI world cup is the pinnacle. We still remember the great performances and the great matches where as when it comes to T20 world cup we forget it the very next day the tournament is done.
 
World Test Championship is majorly flawed tournament because of the fact that all the teams don't play each other. The final is the only thing that the ICC even organizes.

Wtc makes no sense. It does not apply to tests.

India beat Aussies home and away in a full fledged series. Then lose one final where they dint even get time to prep as they cane right from ipl. That too in English conditions.
 
But I put away test series wins in sena >>> winning odi world cup.

Odi world cup number 2.

Wtc concept is rubbish.
 
Odi world cup for me. Also it being held every 4 years actually feels like a world cup. I miss 250-280 odis, those were fun to watch. The close run chases. Wish t20 did not influence Odi cricket
