We all tell "lies" or half-truths or say things to not hurt people which aren't exactly as we feel.

Which is your favourite one?

On my way is teh one I have used the most. If its a professional appointment I am usually ahead of time. But if its family or friends I am usually more laidback and late. On my way is what I say even when I have not yet started.

I don't lie as it is a great sin in Islam.

However, I try to be diplomatic. For example, If someone's food is not good, I still say it is good. These stuffs are subjective anyway.

If someone calls me and I don't want to pick up, I may later on say I was in toilet. I make sure it is not a lie by going to toilet and staying there for 2-5 seconds.

If someone very dear to you buys you a shirt you dont like, do you tell them you hate it?

Do you really believe the supposed truth judge out there is that dumb to not see through you?

On topic, the most common lie all of us say is: "How are you? I'm Fine."

Sub theek hai!

When you are seething from the inside :D

Texting saying busy.

As a Doctor - do you also present a modified version of the truth to patients? Maybe to calm them down when all your training is saying otherwise?

In Pakistan I used to, In US you have to tell the truth . But there sre still ways to avoid making them more upset.

I'm usually the one asking for 5 more mins - just bad at underestimating the time it takes to do any task
