As we all know that our next match is up against Sri lanka in Abu Dhabi, a pitch which will not be conducive for Fast bowling at all, so it more than likely that we will play 2 Seamers and 2 Full time Spinners along with Haris.

Considering this and the fact that Mohammad Amir will be an automatic pick, which pacer should play alongside him to form a 2 men pace attack for the next Test match?

Options Available:

Mohammad Abbas
Hasan Ali
Wahab Riaz
Mir Hamza

Oh God another boring series with Lanka.

Iss se tou behtar tha World XI ke sath test khel lehtay.

Abbas.

He performed well in the last series vs WI and deserves his spot.

Hasan Ali. Abbas's style of bowling is not suited to UAE conditions.

Hasan Ali.

Wahab is the past, Abbas is too slow for UAE conditions where the new ball only moves around for 10 or so overs.

In the long run I think both Abbas and Hasan will outdo Amir in Tests. Not much to choose between them for now. Abbas probably has a bit more to recommend him.

I would go with Hasan Ali he just has that spark in him and can be more handy than Abbas when the ball starts reversing. Also he can add some quick runs with the bat if needed too.

Why do we play 2 tests in series. i guess us and Bangladesh are the only such teams

Abbas might have better stats but Hasan Ali is a better bowlet. We should pick better players.

What is the evidence for this? The idea that one can tell by looking at a player how good they are is the logic that brought us 20 Tests of Rahat Ali. No bowler strikes a better pose than him in the nets. Just like Wahab, he looks like someone who can "make things happen." Yet Abbas has actually made things happen. He has 7 10 fers in just 60 domestic games, and averages 21 to Hasans 24. Don't get me wrong, I like them both very much, and if there is any justice, both would play ahead of Amir, but we are setting a bad precedent if we start to cherry pick from domestic performers on the basis of gut feeling or intuition. And it's not a matter of expertise. Waqar no less was dead sure Rahat would come good, and probably still has hopes for Mr Meek.

All his life Abbas has played on slow, low dead pitches of Pakistan with sun shining bright (i.e. no cloud) so what makes you say that he is a bowler for seeming conditions? He has never had seaming and helpful conditions in his entire career.

Lots of Pakistani pitches are green and the ball helps with swing. Even in swinging conditions I'd take Hasan Ali.

I liked the look of Shinwari. Give him a chance, as long as it is not Wahab.

I guess it most likely will be Hasan Ali with Amir as on paper, they are the 2 best bowlers in Pakistan.

What justice are you talking about?

Amir averages 17 if you only consider First Class games, better than both Abbas and Hasan.

In the series in which they all played, against the West Indies. Amir averaged better than all of Yasir, Hasan and
Abbas.

So, How are Abbas and Hasan better bowlers than Amir?

True, I overstated the case. Abbas had a better SR than Amir in the Windies. Hasan was a distant third,
though the sample is negligible. But Amir had a good series. Problem is overall he's averaging 34 since
his return in 2016. If he were not Amir, the man boy pegged for greatness, there would be a case for
letting the two hottest bowlers in domestics, Abbas and Hasan, get a go instead of him. Not an ironclad
case, but a case nevertheless. My paint though, in case you didn't notice, was about Abbas deserving a chance ahead of Hasan.

Abbas, no doubt

thrived against the WI, and is more impactful in UAE than Hasan

Aamir should sit out. There is no need for him to play SL series. Hassan and Abbass will be enough.
