Pakistan team is struggling in Tests and ODI many players are playing without contribution but result are not good to stay in squad many good averaged player's in domestic waiting for chance which one is burden on team and what you think which one is included in squad from domestic?

Current Squad Poor Player's
Imam
Hafeez
Sarfraz
Bilal
Azhar
Asad
Amir
Usman S
Faheem
Asif
Imad

Anyother Player Burden On Team ?

1)Hafeez. Too old and should make way for younger player to get blooded into the team.
2)Bilal Asif. We are better off with a specialist spinner if his bowling quota is not used enough. He is a prime example of a bits and pieces cricketer.
3)Sarfraz. Captains lead from the front. Sarfraz' batting has been on par with some of the tailenders in our team and he needs to work on this. We must look for a Wicketkeeping replacement who can replace him(Unsure if Mo Rizwan is that person).

Agree with you why not invest in young wicketkeeper like rohail nazir

In tests:

Imam
Hafeez
Bilal
Sarfaraz
Fahim

In ODI'S

Imam
Sarfaraz
Nawaz
Fahim

In T20's

Sarfaraz
Nawaz
Haris

Amir isn't in any squad nowadays

M Hafeez and Bilal Asif for me, should try Zafar Gohar as a spinner and Fakhar should return.

In tests:

Imam
Hafeez
Azhar
Asad
Bilal
Sarfaraz
Fahim

In ODI'S

Imam
Sarfaraz
Hafeez
Nawaz

In T20's

Sarfaraz
Nawaz
Haris

In tests , Azhar , sirfraz and shafique should be shown door ASAP . They have been in team since time immemorial But has not shown anything praiseworthy .Even Hafeez in Asia can be persisted with .

In ODIs almost every player is burden:

Imam
M Hafeez
S Malik
Faheem
Imad
Junaid
Hasan
Usman Shinwari
Sarfraz
Asif Ali

Only Babar, Fakhar, Haris, Shadab and Shaheen are good enough currently.

In Tests, all players bar current darling Abbas. We should replace all 10 players with the supermen waiting back in Pakistan for their chances.

100 percent. Sarfraz is a weak leader. Strong leaders(Imran Khan) groom the next generation of talent so they can replace the leader when ready. People like Sarfraz will keep out young talent from the team and see them as threats to their own position!

Sarfraz should take young WK batsmen like Rizwan, Rohail under his wing but he is scared of losing his spot in the side. Utter cowardice.

Azhar: averaging around 20 this year. he clearly should make space for Fawad
Asad: Another passenger. Mediocre at best. Should make way for Saud S / Usman S
Bilal A: Averge spinner. Should make way for Shahdab K / M Asghar / Z Gohar

Our team int he UAE should be:

Inam
Fakhr
Harris S
Fawad A
Usman S
Saud Shakeel
Sarfraz
Shahdab / Asghar
Yasir
Hasan Ali
Abbas

Burden in terms of playing capacity, or body mass as well - only one ticks in both boxes.

How people are considering Asad Shafiq as a burden I will never understand. He is the most dependable batsman in the entire test squad.

Amir Yameen is strong contender for Test and ODI.

Farhan, malik , hafeez and Hussain talat dont deserve in any team

At the moment this Pakistan cricket team as whole, is a burden on the nation.

Hafeez is the biggest burden but sadly with his connections he will always be brought into the team to waste a spot.

Hafeez at the moment...
And i feel one of azhar or asad has to go.
(May be a few more games to Bilal before bringing Gohar/Asghar)

Imam
Fakhar
Babar
Asad
Haris
Fawad ...short term
Sarfraz
Bilal
Yasir
Hasan
Abbas

Bilal is surely a goner after that ridiculous shot he played in the 2nd innings Surely batting at 8 you cant do that Also hes not contributing enough as a 2nd spinner and the captain doesnt have faith in him either

Shafiq Hafeez and Sarfraz mist be the others under severe pressure

Hafeez has been around for 15 yrs and still is miss more than hit Whats the point of playing a 38 yr old who is as good as the newbies coming in Hes still the king of soft dismissals and barely contributes when the going gets tough

Shafiq for all the backing over 8 yrs still bats without assertivness and without enough output You cant have someone having played 60 odd test avge in his 30s and hiding away at 5

And sarfraz Tactically and batting wise seems inept at test cricket Getting out twice to the sweep and contributing to the collapse as a captain is nearly unforgiveable

test

Bilal Asif

One day
Shoaib Malik

Sure, if we had the batting resources that India have then Malik would be a burden, but currently he’s our most reliable batsman when it comes to clearing the boundaries. Even retired players could make a comeback and perform better than the new crop of players.

Usman averages 15 with the ball in ODIs
Junaid averages 24 since 2017 and was second best pace bowler at CT
Hasan Ali was top bowler in CT, former no 1 ODI bowler

I think the key word with Hasan is 'form'

Other countries would love to have such burdens.

He does that in T20s.. we dont need him in one days especially when he has to come to bat within 25 overs...

Other countries don't want burdens who perform only against the mighty Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka

Usman Shinwari and Junaid were shown their place otherwise, bowling at a speed of 130 with no swing and no brain you are bound to get smacked by quality opposition.

As for Hasan, poor form doesn't continue for 1 and half year. In ODIs he has been same as the other pacers, bowling like Waqar Younis against Srilanka and Zimbabwe and becoming Bilawal Bhatti against top teams.

There may be sense to that argument re Shinwari if bowlers supposedly better than Shinwari had done even better against Lanka, but that is not the case. Amir has never in his entire ODI career taken a 5fer, against Zimbabwe or anyone else. Shinwari can only bowl against the opposition he faces and he has done very well so far against the opposition he has faced. His only poor performances were in the Asia Cup, which was a graveyard for fast bowlers, at the end of which he still averages 15. If there is a rule of thumb for selection it is this; if a bowler is averaging 15 ODIs you let him continue playing. In other words, with Shinwari, it is clearly far too early to write him off. By the same argument, you cannot claim that Junaid and Hasan hasve performed only against minnows. They were the top two bowlers of the CT, and performed against the very best opposition in the most difficult of conditions. And Hasan kept performing reasonably well, also in NZ. Junaid took a 4fer in the Asia Cup. The latter's cardinal sin seems to be that he does not bowl fast enough for your liking. But I don't see any better and faster alternative to him on the horizon for Pakistan, barring Hasan himself, or perhaps Amir, who has otherwise been almost superhuman in his ability to NOT take wicket while being possession of enough pace. A nonsense post in other words.

Hafeez and imam failed in first inning of first test big burden on team along with bilal asif and crap sarfraz

We're carrying at least 4 passengers in the team : Hafeez, Imam, Sarfraz, and Bilal Asif. All four will be redundant in South Africa this winter. So essentially we've been playing with 7 players, and you can't really expect to be very good under these circumstances.

Bowlers supposedly better than Shinwari keep their performances same anywhere they play.

On the same graveyard pitches one year ago he was taking 5fers along with Hasan due to the opposition being Sri Lanka and in Asia Cup they performed against Hong Kong. On the same pitches Indian and Bangladeshi pacers were taking wickets which shows the incompetence of our pacers. Hasan didn't perform in NZ, he was taking wickets of tailenders in overs between 45-50 along with going for runs with isn't beneficial for our team.

Why bring CT again and again when we are talking about post CT?

Nothing bowlers have performed in CT previously turning out to become mediocre after it, also don't put words in my mouth I have never said Junaid should bowl fast rather he should at least have one thing in his armoury. A bowler like Abbas has proved it.

They are a burden this doesn't mean there is someone better than them waiting in domestics.@;

They never try who are good in domestic

And, all 4 are holding critical spots in XI. Bilal won't be in squad for SAF, so one less, may be Imam should be given a chance considering his age (at least should be in squad), but other two really should earn their spot in these 2 Tests.

Coming of age year for Babar Azam. He is averaging 67.71 in Tests in 2018 with match-winning innings at Malahide and Lord's. He has been dismissed only 4 times by bowlers in 10 inns this year - three run outs and as many not outs. #FutureStar

How much burden these players are on team Hafeez got duck and imam scored 9 in 3rd test against NZ.

Imam has been given enough chances , its unfair to keep persisting with him and not give opportunity to those who are scoring in first class.
