Have seen plenty of matches where Kohli has shouted expletives whenever an opposition batsman has been dismissed, he did against the Sri Lankans in 2015, he has done it against Pakistan in 2014 and in the 2016 Asia Cup, he did it against Stokes.

I hope that none of our players put up with this crap no matter how superior Kohli is as a batsman and cricketer, our players need to keep in mind that even if he does well, doesn't mean India can't be beated.

I back Shadab, Hasan Ali, Amir to respond in kind in case he dares to sledge or show attitude to our players, not sure about anyone else? Shehzad (50-50)?

Has Sarfaraz ever gotten in a fight against an opposition player?

Imad looks like someone who is ready to pick a fight with anyone from the opposition team and it's good that we have a fiery character such as him in the lineup. You need to be at a certain level of angry to actually get those competitive juices flowing.

Junaid is also someone who wouldn't shy away from a confrontation and specially since all 22 players would know and understand each other completely. We should certainly expect some verbal fireworks come June 4th

I love Junaid's shouting and screaming whenever he gets a wicket.

So we actually have Shehzad, Shadab, Imad, Hasan Ali, Junaid and even Amir. That is 6 players, not bad.

I'm hoping I'm wrong but I don't think we'll even be given the opportunity to sledge Kohli. The guy lifts his level against us and hasn't looked like getting out against us recently.

I think, it will be sarfaraz. From whatever little I have seen of him, he doesn't like losing. Expect a spat if things go awry for Pakistan

I hope we see fireworks on the pitch..some needle is required to get us fired up..If we get him out early expect some choice words but you know and I know Kohli isnt getting out lol..

Kohli has regressed or should I say the mask is blown off. He has been going the ravi shastri, majid khan ....way, success going to head, hob nobbing with socialites of dubious nature.....just hope his story does not end like an also-ran type. Poking nose into a hard working coach like Kumble, who I think is the best match winner or at par with Tendulkar for India. This is one case where I dont mind whichever team brings him back to Earth, Pakistan included.period.

For that they need to perform first. Sarfi will not hold back but needs to back that up with performance.

Sher Khan did put kohli in his place when the latter tried to sledge him. In front of Amir and Junaid Kohli turns into a meek cat. Imad would also thrash him if he tried to act too smart for his own good.

What have you been smoking my friend?

Sarfraz should avoid sledging his own team mates first, when they drop a catch or misfield, have seen this many times already in his brief captaincy stint

Ridiculous.Kohli is in poor form, thats all.He is an ATG LOI player.

Lol wth are you on my friend?

I'm asking this Politely, how did "sher" khan put Kohli in his place? Don't tell me it was taking wicket of kohli after he scored hundred and had to accelerate in death overs.

Kohli is always fired up against England/Aus.

Never seen him being aggressive against Subcontinent teams.

Kohli has always been extra nice to Pakistani players. They will probably be friends by the end of match.

Come on mate we both know we don't want that, they can be best friends after the match I don't mind but on ground we want the fights.. Like Harbhajan vs Shoaib fight after the match they went out together for dinner and stuff but on the field it was awesome..

It is good to be fired up among equals in a competition. Against weaker teams it is good to be modest and humble so one is not mistakenly considered arrogant.

There is no cricketer to match the stature of Kohli in the pak team. This is not a troll post, not an exaggeration but just a hard fact.

Sure Amir is talented but his tainted past will always haunt him til the end of his career to try get in other's faces.

Sure likes of Sohail Khan etc. have shown bravado but they ended up being the joke, remember how Kohli messed with Sohail when he was batting in the WC game :)) .

They need to prove something first before they can give it back lol.

Wahab Riaz is famous for his Watson spell but look where it left him today.

If Kohli acts uber-aggressive which he doesn't without any reason and a Pak player calmly dismisses him, isn't that more of a victory?

Kohli is naturally aggressive, wears his emotions on the sleeve....You don't want Pakistanis to look like posers by trying too hard. Pakistani team these days have likable blokes for the most part

Don't think he will last enough time for a sledge. Juni or Amir will castle him cheaply.

He will bash the daylights out of overrated trundlers like Junaid. Mohammad Amir is a gun bowler but I expect him to negotiate Amir, if he does pose a threat. Kohli isn't getting out unless and until he's done enough to win India the game.

I have seen his behavior on field. Any Indian/Pakistani youngster who has grown up in urban environment in sub-continent will understand what I am talking about in this post.

I dont think his aggression is real. He comes across as a fake bad@ss-mask-on type who will only hurl abuses when the situation suits him or when he knows he wont get an answer. This has been his norm. I am not talking about his paying capabilities. He will retire as an LOI ATG, atleast for India but his antics remind me of my own teen cricket playing days when every galli-mohalla team we faced had a little sharp mouthed fake aggressive guy in it (is usually small sized and thin like kohli).

Why is he always nice towards pakistanis is because he knows the moment he will open his mouth, he will hear a swear back. It happened to him with sohail khan in WC when he was trying to put on a fake laugh like he was ok with a 6'3 large man walking towards him swearing back. Such fake aggressive people would not like to be seen brought down to the ground by a larger man. Thats why he was laughing, anyone with a little unbiased sanity will agree with me. Pakistan was losing the chase, misbah was scolding sohail khan so situation suited him (again). I am not saying success has gotten to his head, I just sometimes feel like he is actually being held captive by his own early youth "in your face" persona. He actually is a nice person in real.

Its not about india vs pakistan .. its about an individual who probably will destroy his talent with his teenage mentality.

Talking about modern day Indian real aggressive cricketers. I would say Ashwin is probably more aggressive
minded than Kohli and that too in real.

and mark my words, no sledging will probably happen in this CT indo pak encounter because indian players dont sledge pakistanis, may be out of the fear of same language response chances. While Pakistani team is made of religious simpletons and mummy daddy types. They wont sledge anyone in the whole world. This aint 90s of Wasim, Shoaib, Moin etc ...

I agree that Kohli is not truly as aggressive as someone like Yuvi. For me, Sachin has been the most aggressive Indian player I've ever seen. People misunderstand his silence for meekness.

You however lost me with the chest thumping about large men. Thank you, but I'll take our little men who over the years have handed out humiliations at the grandest of stages.

Shahzad won't dare say a word to his idol

Sarfaraz - His constant chat from behind the wicket means Kohli will lose his concentration and commit a fatal mistake.

This! Really hope he does this and Pakistanis fans dont act like mummy daddy kids. He had good success doing this for u019 team and in domestics.

Kohli has mellowed down and doesn't fight with Pakistani players. He however picks fights with Aussies. I think our mediocre sides of yesteryears are to blame for that.

I think Imad, Shehzad, Sarfaraz, Amir and Hasan are all blokes who don't mind giving back to the opposition.

Sachin was aggressive yes. Thats what I always have believed, so was ganguly. In the same way, Waqar was very aggressive and attacking nature wise but never sledged anyone as far as I remember.

Sledging and behaving like a fake bad@ss on field is different from being naturally aggressive like above guys mentioned. Kohli will destroy his predicted ATG status with this current attitude.

Sledging and performance generally go together. So the idea to give lip while being carted around the park shows a comical understanding of the game

We tend to do well with bowling against India and reduce the total any decent side could chase down. Then we realise that we can't bat at a decent RR to save our lives. That's if we bowl first obviously.

this probably applies more to Pakistani players than Indian .... if Kohli had a teenage mentality he would first of all never be anywhere close to being Indian Captain ... and would have crashed and burnt out by now like say Umar Akmal.

I guess IMAD WASIM is the right guy to do it !!!

Tusker,

Thats BS tbh. Which pakistani player behaves like a fake-warrior on field hurling abuses, sledges and swears around on field ? not even people like Wahab who can deliver 150+ kph bouncers at batsmen sledge. It was a one game thing with shane watson and thats that, apart from that i have never seen this unit doing anything on field. Pakistani cricket team of modern times are made of religious nice boys and simpletons (unlike the guys we had in 80s, 90s and even early 2000s).

Kohli's fake-aggressive behavior is noted not by pakistanis only that you started showing your bias... Even few indians in this thread acknowledge that he does it but probably is not like this in real life. His aggression/sledging is only selective.

you confuse passion for fake aggression ... Kohli plays with a lot of passion and bloody hell some serious batting ability ... he can walk the talk but usually doesn't talk unless provoked.

No one these guys are nice guys and nowadays kohli is very popular everybody wants to be friend with him and his behavior with Pakistani players has been nice.I m not expecting anyone but yeah junaid khan maybe.During 2016 world cup guys like shahzad and umar akmal were taking selfies with him.

He was showing punches and making faces to a tailender Ajmal in asia cup 2014 (afridi last over sixer match). Ajmal must have provoked him out of the field because I have never seen a jolly faced ajmal provoking anyone otherwise. This has been a norm with Kohli, he only shows his aggression selectively when either his team is winning or is in commanding position and against sides or individuals who cant respond to him. He has played many times against pakistan and there were numerous chances he could sledge pakistani team but he did it only once with ajmal AFAI-have-seen. He tried it with sohail khan and then was found giving a piqued laugh when a foot taller and tank like built khan started walking towards him (I dont like sohail khan and nor do I hate kohli).

try to see it from an unbiased non nationalist angle. Kohli with attitude of lets say dhoni can become another tendulkar or atleast dravid but he is choosing a different path which would put him in lower tier category.

The best comeback is getting him out. Simple as that.

He tends to dominate against PAK in such situations. The man is one of the finest pressure players ODI cricket will ever see.

No point in sledging because it won't work.

Junaid will definetly do it i case kohli does get out.. i doubt he will get out expecting a 150 not out from him if not dismissed within first 20 balls he faces.
Amir wont do it because of respect shown to him and goodwill gesture by kohli towards him in asia cup. I expect Imad hassan ali and wahab to be aggressive.

If he gets out by junaid, it will become literally funny. post injury-Junaid is offcourse not the junaid he used to be ... sad

Virat has schooled Wahab everytime they have played. Wahab should retire out of shame now.

For some reason Virat has never been verbal against Pakistan players. He has great respect for amir and afridi co.
