For me Babar Azam and Karachi Kings performances were very disappointing.

Karachi are my favorite team and whilst I did not expect them to win the title, I never expected it to be this bad!

As a team Karachi Kings was really disappointing and it was somewhat expected considering their overall squad combination which was finalized at the draft but, didn't expect it to be this bad. An inform Babar would have probably put them in contention for the playoffs as has been in some of the last seasons but, their overall team combination was as bad as it has ever been and its manifested by the fact that Mir Hamza who was their 3rd replacement or so turned out to be their best bowler.

As a player a bit disappointed with Wasim Jr's bowling performances as I think he has potential to be a pretty decent cricketer for Pakistan but, then again he is at very start of his career so still in learning phase and there have been rumors even he wasn't fully fit for the last match or so which he played.

Spinners in general - Pakistan ones - dont think they did that well?

The likes of Shadab, Nawaz, Khushdil, Zahid Mehmood did brilliantly, except Nawaz all did far better than they have done previous seasons

Number of players who are in or around the Pakistani team/squad either fell away completely or were even dropped cause their performances just weren't up to standard - Mohammed Wasim, Usman Qadir, Haider Ali.

A few senior players largely underwhelmed too - Babar, Hasan Ali, Iftikhar, Imad Wasim, Asif Ali etc. Not saying that I had high expectations for some of them, but given they are part of the main team, they should have done better

Imad Wasim was brilliant with ball and good with bat. Others disappointed though

Players;

- Mohammad Wasim Jr
Before PSL 7, he had a guaranteed spot for the upcoming T20 WC 11, in my opinion. He is competing with Hassan Ali, and I prefer him over Hassan Ali simply because of his brilliant yorkers. However, with the few international matches he has played, I could tell that he is very similar to Hassan Ali, meaning he either takes multiple wickets or gores for heavy runs and gets smashed a lot in death bowling. And his PSL 7 performances, he has been torn apart in most/all of his matches. But now after PSL 7, he is not a guaranteed selection for the national T20 squad.

Haider Ali
Oh, Haider Ali... This player has proven that he can play brilliant, beautiful shots, defo has talent, but when he starts slogging, disaster happens, he gets out in a very frustrating and ugly manner. He had multiple innings where he showed his potential with the good strokes he played, but then goes crazy and gets out, eventually gets dropped. And just like Muhammad Wasim Jr, at least for me, he was the guaranteed number 4 spot for Pakistan. But not anymore now. But his PSL 7 disappointing performances have made me realise that Haider Ali should be nowhere near the T20 squad, simply because he is a great talent, and if he gets fast-tracked and taught to slog, rather than learning shot choices in first class, then another talent is ruined. But overall, Haider Ali has been the most disappointing for me this season

Shahnawaz Dahani
Shanawaz Dahani was superb in PSL 6 (although I didn't watch PSL 6), as well as 2021 National T20, impressed in his few international appearances too. So I was expecting another great season from him, but it wasn't. He was very expensive in a number of matches. Took few wickets. Pace was down, as a number of posters have been saying, there has been some change in his action. Also, there has been the issue where he goofs around too much, but I don't mind at, as long as he does his fun clecberatiosn when he takes wickets only, not when he gets smashed. But after a dissapitng season, he still one of paksitan best prospects, and I will still have him in T20 squad.

Iftikhar Ahmed
Although Iftikar Ahmed had a few good performances including that outsadnng knocj against Multan in KArachi, he overall disappointed was quite poor with the bowling. But still the best number 5 and best finisher in Pakistan.

Liam Livingstone
Liam Livingstone is a lethal power hitter. He showed this in the T20 WC, with massive sixes. But we didnt see this at all really during the season. I had a lot of excitement for his batting, but I think in the end he has had more impact with the bowling.

A little Bit Naseem Shah
Now, although Naseem Shah has taken a brilliant 5-fer and 4-fer, he has gone for a lot of runs, been expensive.

Sherfane Rutherford
After his wonderful knock of 70 runs against unied in karchi, he was just to deep down the order, since zalmi batting lineup is kind of stacked, and Im pretty sure he didn't really enjoy it himself, and I didn't like it either. Unfortunate for him

Team Selections;

Overall, I have been disappointed with a lot of decent prospect players playing either very few matches or not being selected at all. A example is Usman Qadir and Zahid Mahmood. These two are Pakistans Premier Leg-spin bowlers, yet Zahd Mahmood played only one match (as of match 29), and I don't know exactly how many matches Usman Qadir played but I didn't see him play that many for Zalmi. Others include Arshad Iqbal, Mohammad Imran (who for some reason moves from a brilliant season with Zalmi to Karachi...) and Im sure there are others that I cant remember at this very moment.

Its Dissapointing to see Islamabad Un-United go through to the play-offs. They have been mediocre and have choked quite a few matches, Quetta deserved it more then them despite the fact Sarfaraz is their captain.

Hassan Ali has been very poor so far in PSL 7:

Just 6 matches and an economy rate of 11.28.

Mohammad Wasim jr too:

6 wickets and an economy rate of 11.55

Without a doubt, Hassan Ali.

Shows his T20 world cup performance was not a blip, he is on a serious decline.

I think the biggest flop as a team was KK. A lot establish players so far this year looked out of colour.

Only player who exceeded my expectations was Shan Masood.

Many contenders for this:

The whole Karachi team

Babar Azam's batting, particularly his poor strike rate when Karachi was chasing which lost them the game.

The "domestic player of the year" Sahibzada Farhan looked mediocre. Too many other Karachi problems to list.

Quetta overall remains a poor team. Take out Jason Roy and there is almost nothing there. Smeed the only other bright spot. Chacha Iftikhar has underwhelmed - I thought he would do much better.

Hasan Ali has been terrible

M Wasim Jr has also been pretty bad

Zalmi has looked mediocre again, yet once again somehow manages to make it to the qualifiers (probably because Karachi and Quetta were so bad). Zazai has been a flop and a huge liability in the field. Rutherford has looked poor most of the time, and often disinterested. Kakmal's decline continued. Haider Ali gets worse and worse.

Islamabad has really declined with the loss of Shadab and their overseas stars - dont see them putting up much of a fight for the remaining games.

Sarfaraz - Poor would be an understatement to define him and his performance as a skipper and player

Babar - Poor captaincy. Underperformed with the bat as well.

Hassan Ali - Seems like that dropped catch from SF of 2021 WC is still haunting him

M Wasim Jr - Still young days for the lad. Could become better.

Asif Ali - One hit wonder (not remembering the name much)

Iftikhar - Less said about his performance the better

Sahibzada Farhan - Failed to replicate his QAE, National t20 domestic success at PSL

Haider Ali - I had high hopes in him but sadly he seems to be going down the Ahmad Shahzad / Umar Akmal route
