As the title suggests. Two teams are very evenly matched. It was 4-4 inclusive of the WC 2023 final which India lost going into this game.

Mind you India missed pant and pandya for the final vs 2023. So Aus dint really beat full strength India. Also India has a much better. Record vs Aussies when pandya plays. A winning one overall.

India missed bumrah who is equal to 2 players. 100% sure jaiswal would be way better than gill. Do not pretend otherwise
India also missed the services of pant who could have easily replaced current any of those players. I would never play Iyer vs Aus as he is poor vs their bowlers. Pant would take them on and bash them.

As for Australia they missed starc Cummins Hazlewood. You could say green due to injury but I don’t see him as a big miss. And don’t say short. Short sucks

So 4 players vs 3 missing for india

In a h2h

Who wins at full strength??

India.

Cause they would have had Pandya/Axar which gives them that balance.

I won't say missed Pant. Missed Axar more likely cause he extends batting to 8.

Also there would be no dew factor.

Aussies most likely. :inti

Do you think India would'e chased down 265 against Cummins, Starc, and Hazlewood in Dubai? I don't think so.

Australia almost defended it successfully despite being heavily depleted.

Australia would also not have scored that much with Bumrah.

India. Simple reason. Pandya. They are not beating India with Pandya. Statistics now 0-5 in ICC with pandya. It makes India batting deeper. With jadeja 8 it is much more deeper. India doesn't have to play cautiously. Also they have just one Zampa.

When they play pandya and pant in icc Aus don’t wint
0-5 now

So?
Still think they could win?

In WC 2023 India missed both

If Australia had batted first in Ahmedabad they were not going to cross 220. India would have walked the target. Stupid guys should have rolled out a flat deck.

On a deck that takes turn in India/SL/Dubai/Bangla , India is thebetter team

On flat wkt like Pak or Eng its 50-50.

On a deck with bounce in SA/Aus, Aus will be slightly better placed

Even with bumrah Rana shami etc? Plus Pandya and Nitish etc?

I think we would win in Aus tbh

We would lose most likely in nz. Not sure about SA. Our record in SA is extremely good in icc events.

Also India better in West Indies

Current Australian attack is overly familiar to Indians. Don't go by the test series or the final. Even in 2023 final Rohit got out to Maxwell. He was bossing the other Australian bowlers. Once India lost a couple of wickets they shut the shop for no reason. Possibly because of 4 tailenders. That shrunk the line up with SKy ODI failure who is incapable of batting 30 overs and Jadeja another low strike rate batsman. 2023 final is always one of the biggest upset in Indian history much like 2017 upset. 2015 we were expected to lose. No complaints there. 2019 weather screwed India over.

If Tendulkar had played football rather than cricket, India would have won a football world cup by now.

India are the more balanced & diverse cricket side & they'd win against Aus in the UAE conditions.

Both teams at full strength are almost neck and neck

Slight edge to india

This Aus team is very underrated actually. They are really not far off their golden team of 2000 to 2007

Quality bowling attack
Power hitters
Good spinner although no warne

Goat smith
Great all rounders

It does not matter. Who cares who would have won... India won Champions Trophy....

You think Rohit sharma will return the champions trophy back to sarfaraz ahmed just because a sore loser on a Pakistani forum is crying "rigged... rIgged" day and night? :ROFLMAO:
He should return it to Kiwis captain

They were deserving champions

LOL what a thread.
What if Babar was as good as his PR machine and would have smashed 70 ball 100s, would Pak have won CT?

Australia given how their B team gave India a run for their money on their defacto home ground

That’s fair but I just wanted to get opinions of what people think would happen if both are at their peaks.

Bumrah shami rana vs Starc Hazlewood Cummins is high quality

I don't know what you guys consider full strength India...were any of them missing in BGT?
Pandya pant
Already mentioned that

Aus has a bad record when both play
Pandya is so important to india

He offers that balance
And also jaiswal who is far better than gill choker

But India smashed them 4 series in a row though in tests

One win after 10 years. One series that is
But still in their bad patch,

They won 2015 WC, 2021 T20 WC, WTC 2023, CWC 2023
And besides 2021 T20 WC faced India in each of the above events in Knock out stages to eliminate them

There's nothing to answer. He was talking about Test cricket and you randomly brought in their white ball triumphs. :rabada2

Yes they are good in odi tournaments

But let’s be honest they are a mediocre t20 side
That. T20 should have gone to Pakistan lol. Biggest fluke ever

Matthew wade of all people won it for them

They are the goat odi side definitely.

But they did not beat India at full strength. that’s for sure in both wtc and WC 2023.

ODI interest though has been dying for a while
Most fans only seem to care for t20 and test cricket these days
