Smith gave a statement about it and it got me thinking.

"I think Bumrah and Bhuvi are probably two of the best death-overs bowlers going around." - Steven Smith

Aus was 242-2 in 38 overs. For the next 12 overs , Aus had proper batsmen because they ended with 6 wickets down. Yet, Aus added only 51 runs in in the last 12 overs despite having so many wickets. It was seriously a good death over bowling here. I caught some replays later because I didn't bother to watch the match.

--------------

Many posters will name Starc among the best death bowlers, but I think Hazlewood and Santner are overlooked names here. In the last 24 months, Hazlewood has given 5.4 and Santner has given 5.8 runs per over in the death overs. Rabada is a bit raw, but he is it in him to become a good death bowler.

Imagine you have all the choices available to you. Who would be your top 3 picks for the last 10 overs in your team? Just the death over bowlers who make it extremely hard to score runs.

Bumrah , Bhuvi and Starc is one combination and another one is Starc, Bumrah and Hazelwood.

Whats is the fun of having Starc here.... a guy who plays one series and is then rested for 9 months

1) Mitchell Starc
2) Morne Morkel
3) Kagiso Rabada

Rumman Raees will top this list soon enough. Bumrah is pretty capable at the death as well.

He still bowled 35 overs during death in the last 24 months.

Bumrah bowled around 20 against SL in last series...(only one series)

Amir aslo bowled about 13-15 overs in CT 17... (in 4 games)

so bowling 35 overs at death in two years is no achievement

In entire 2 years, Bumrah has bowled 50 overs in death. 35 overs is not an achievement, but just trying to put it context.

This!

Starc no doubt have the best yorkers going around, but that guy is too injury prone. He have the potential to go pass W Akram in Odis but his fitness is letting him down big time.

Amir/Hassan
Starc/Hazlewood
BK/Bumrah

These three pairs are probably best death bowling pair going around.

pakistan have rumman raees who is very good death bowler in t20s but he have not played enough odis so will

have to wait what he does in future

1) Mohammad Amir
2) Josh Hazlewood
3) Junaid Khan (still bowls very well during the death overs by bowling yorkers regularly)
