One could argue that the BCCI already had in place very well placed structures, financial engine and therefore whether Ganguly had been in charge or not, the BCCI would still have thrived and achieved the historic IPL broadcast deal. In fact Ganguly it can be said has badly mismanaged Kohli which prompted his removal from the captaincy.

Ramiz in contrast had more pressing issues to tackle ie the abandonment of NZ, England. PCB's dire financial situation. We can already see him trying to create properties for the PCB ie PJL, women's psl, renaming stadiums after sponsors, trying to improve pitches in Pakistan via drop in pitches etc. Barring the torid Australian test series loss, there really isn't really a bad blip on his record so far during his tenure.

Rameez. He has more challenging job and environment and hence more challenges in terms of getting investment and fixing things. It’s like Ganguly is working with Google/Microsoft type company with billions of dollars at their disposal whereas Ramiz is working for an up and coming startup to shape things for the future.

Rameez.

He showed good spine after NZ and England didn't tour. Also, team did well under his tenure.

What has Ganguly achieved so far? Nothing, other than being a shill of the BJP and prioritising the IPL above everything else.

This.

Ganguly has been a huge disappointment as an administrator. Show once again that not necessarily all good players become good coaches and administrators.

Has to be Ramiz Raja without a doubt.

Even an outsider would say that as Pakistan has always struggled from the top right down to the bottom, so it is massively important to have a strong head on top to tackle most complexed issues which are a norm in Pakistan cricket.

Ramiz Raja has been excellent and he's trying to make Pakistan cricket better.

Ramiz has shown good progress but I do wonder if all we are seeing is the fruit of the work of his predecessors?

For Dada, I would say he has a great setup underneath him and lots of money to work with so chances of going wrong are minimal, so a less taxing job than Ramiz

Saurav but I don't know why!!:warner I just think he is more knowledgeable about Cricket compared to Rambo Raja:Riz

Ramiz bought England, NZ back to Pakistan and got the PCB compensation from NZCB. That cannot be attributed to his predecessors.

Ramiz is a clown, not a chairman. His bright ideas include interfering in pitches and costing us a home series against Australia...talking for months on end about the need for drop-in pitches, only to do a complete u-turn months later and abandon the idea...pioneering the idea of a Junior PSL because technically underdeveloped young players playing more T20 cricket is just what they need, right?

Also, England and NZ did not come back because of him. They came back because their national governments and cricket boards value their relationship with Pakistan and don't want to ruin it. They would have done the same even if Ijaz Butt was in-charge.

NZC paid compensation because owed us that money. That too, has nothing to do with PRaja. Cricket Australia did the same thing when they postponed their tour of South Africa last year.

The only thing I will give him credit for is the decision to award contracts to 100 junior cricketers. That's actually something positive that could have some long term benefit. But other than that, its all posturing and PR to get the attention of the same people who follow him on Twitter and watch his videos on YouTube.

We'll have to see how Ramiz's "innovative" ideas like the Junior PSL and Women's PSL pan out in the long run for us to correctly judge his tenure. Hopefully, the Women's PSL helps increase women's participation in cricket and sports overall, they are half our population and a big untapped market. We probably have the lowest women's participation in cricket out of every major cricket country besides Afghanistan.

Ramiz seems to be putting a lot of emphasis on youth which I think is the best way to go about it. Pakistan has one of the lowest average ages in the world, we have to engage younger people in order for us to keep cricket relevant in this country.

Like it or not more T20 cricket is the way to go.

Comical post. Last i remember the ECB refused to allow PCB to play their test matches in England under Ijaz Butt. NZC did now owe the PCB any money especially if they withdrew under pretext of security concerns, it is because of the lobbying and pressure by the PCB under Ramiz's leadership that NZC paid compensation to cool down the temperature.

Seeing a lot of Online abuse by indian fans being directed at Ganguly and how things have badly detiorated under his tenure i.e. India losing the T-20 WC in 2021 when they were favourites, numerous IPL interruptions, losing to South Africa in South Africa, losing a golden opportunity to win a test series in England, Losing to NZ in NZ.

One has to admit that if the BCCI was expecting rich dividends because of an ex Indian player and captain heading the organization then expectations have not been met at all.

Lobbying and pressure? :wahab2

You call random Pakistanis making a fuss on social media, lobbying and pressure?

Never thought I'd say this but Ganguly and Dravid have been unmitigated disasters for our cricket ever since they took reins of our cricket.

As far as Dravid is concerned, I had my doubts when he was appointed our coach and thought he was being put on too high a pedestal too soon for exploits of our under-19 team but never thought that Ganguly would prove to be such a yes man to the establishment and care only about the moolah BCCI is earning.

But maybe Ganguly is playing a double game here, not sure. I have it on reasonable authority that Ganguly faked his heart attack to steer out of the BJP project of projecting him as a Bengal CM face for the election last year.

I heard it just yesterday and couldn't believe it but this source has never been wrong about anything Bengal related so far (politics or otherwise).
