Rizwan would be the obvious choice as Tournament leaders but then Shaheen and Shadab have shown good leadership. Even Sarfaraz has lead from the front.

So who is your choice?

Rizwan....

People will say Shadab Khan just for the sake of being flashy, but Shadab has been the worst with using his bowlers. He only uses himself and his friends or overseas.

Zafar Gohar not getting games, Mubasir and Zeeshan dont get overs. He did the same thing in last season and we lost.

Rizwan uses Willey, Muzrabani, even Kushdil Shah effectively.
Shadab would never use Kushdil

Rizwan he has given his emerging player the most opportunities.

Shaheen has done really well better than what I thought his bowling changes and motivation has been really good.

How do we measure the success of a captain? wins? attitude?

How do we measure the success of a captain? wins? attitude?

field plans, bowling changes, tactics and usage of resources efficiently.

Captaincy cant be measured as its more on the basis of a qualitative. People use wins to measure captaincy which i think is the most ridiculous way.

Babar Azam has won many games last year, but everyone knows it was due to the team combination and toss factor.

Captain wise he lost us the world t20 semi final but it got ignored as people think personal performance also defines captaincy.

Azhar Ali was a good captain, he never needed help in field setting or using bowlers. But he was removed due to not being flashy.

Shadab Khan is spot on with his field setting and command over the guys. He uses his batters well too. Infact, in Pakistan cricket no captaincy except for Shadab keeps on shuffling his batters. Shadab losses it with his poor bowling changes.. He doesnt know the art of getting 2-4 overs fullfilled by someone else.

Dhoni was very cunning in this. Whenever he sense an opportunity he would bring in a part timer and make sure that part timer got most overs done thus always saving himself from giving overs to the bowlers who got spanked. He would even have options, and this was the captain of a team that had poor medium pacers.

I realized watching Misbah and Dhoni is that its an art to utilize your limited resources efficiently.

Rizwan has shown us how to use resources. The way he used Kushdil Shah was just marvelous. Kushdil rarely bowls overs, and Rizwan acted like Dhoni and was first getting overs fulfilled by Kushdil, now he is his main weapon.
Rizwan even bowled the death overs with Willey.

Shaheen is still new, he has backed his players, and as he sets his own field in international he could be trusted with that. Shaheen could turn out to be an international level captain as the guy is cunning. If he is given domestic captaincy full time he could be someone to be watched out for as captain.

Rizwan is probably the best but Shaheen has done a great job.

Happy to his team doing well.

The best: Rizwan
Good : Shaheen
OK: Shadab
Bad: Sarfraz, Wahab
Miserable : Babar

Still feel Riz is far ahead of others in his leadership skills.

This is very unfair to Shadab. You would not be saying it if United squad was as balanced as Lahore. Lahore is lucky to have great bowling attack. Shaheen lost to Babar - the only victory for babar to show for. I would swap the Good and OK!

Shaheen showing some great leadership qualities.

I think it was Rizwan. He seems good for leadership position. Calm and inspiring individual.

I had my doubts initially but my boy Rizu has proven me wrong. He is a solid captain.

Sarfaraz has regressed with every season and every game as a captain.

Babar has been really disappointing. Lacked creativity, risk-taking ability.

Shadab was good in bits and pieces

Wahab again just average. Nothing special

Shaheen - very surprised with his aggressive and attacking approach. Refreshing to see LQ on the field this season

Rizwan - regardless of the match situation, he always kept his cool, always calm. Always smiling and cheering on his teammates. His body language was very positive and confident. Refreshing to see that in a Pakistani captain. It was evident that his team players truly enjoy his leadership and are out there to enjoy themselves and have fun. Reminded me of MS Dhoni a lot

Shadab was on a different level with both bat and ball.

Shaheen has done well, however big match game awareness is yet missing.

In Pakistan at the Moment Shadab and Rizwan are the best players.

On paper would be delighted to see them in the final and hoping for a 200+ Game.

Shadab has been poor ias far as bowling changes are concerned, yesterday he kept on Zahid fr one end knowing Malik and Kami are best against leggies, and keptt his over till 16 where he was spanked,.

Shaheen showed fight when many captains would have given up with IU going strong and few overs to go.

Tactically, he may make mistakes but his never-say-die attitude will overcome many barriers and instill belief.

It's amazing how PSL is grooming the likes of Rizwan, Shadab and Shaheen as leaders.

Still Rizwan.

Well ahead of the others although Shaheen has been impressive at times.

Shaheen: not sure about him tactically yet and in T20s its hard to judge that aspect. But his attitude, comments, etc. have been spot on . . Couldn't have had a better start. Just hope he keeps on focusing on his bowling though for now . .

Shadab: I genuinely think he has leadership skills. He seems like a guy who is atune with modern day limited overs cricket. He doesn't mind if his team loses once in a while going with that approach either thwt instills confidence in the team. On top of that, this year they were dealt a rough hand with injuries, absences, etc. So good on him. Should have been playing the final if it wasn't for stupidity of a couple of players.

Rizwan: Best leader in the country for me. Natural at it too . . His success at the domestic level as captain is no surprise. Long may it continue. A strong/in form/happy Rizwan is a hell of an asset for Babar, the national captain.

Wahab: I am very confused . . I want to like him but his facial expressions when things go south feel like he doesn't own his teams performances. He singled out Umars lack of experience in one of the games and his attitude on the field reflects that too. Also, often times I have felt he hides himself when the going gets tough. He is in the twilight of his career, and I think Peshawar should find a newer/younger leader.

Babar: Unfortunately looked the least inspired captain. Granted his team was complete shambles. But as a captain, his job isn't to look defeated. Maybe his own form has something to do with it and he thought he should be doing more for his team? His post match conferences are some of the most clichéd, unimaginative narratives I've ever heard. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt because his last 6 months as national captain have been inspiring (almost as though he's coming into his own and developing as a confident leader). He better continue to lead by example in national colors because there aren't many who feel rizwan isn't a better leader.

Sarfaraz: Someone please put this man out of his misery. He looks spent. Weirdly emotional. One day he is screaming after every ball like no tomorrow. Next day he is so quiet as if the whole team is torturing him. He needs to be sacked immediately (maybe alongside Moin) . . Quetta needs some originality in thinking.

My ranking:
Rizwan
Daylight

Shadab
Shaheen
Babar
Wahab
Sarfaraz

Probably the best 2 captains of PSL playing tonight.
