Striker and Wrestler are two different genre of mixed martial arts wrestling. While any mode can help one win the match but sometimes superlative skills in one domain dwarf the other.

So in entire history of mixed martial arts wrestling, which striker, wrestler/grappler impressed you the most. And who do you reckon as the GOAT in mixed martial arts wrestling?

Need to have Daniel Cormier in there. One of the best mixed martial artists ever with elite striking and wrestling.

Jones is a clown despite his top 5% talent because we don’t know how many of his wins are legit due to him using exotic roids and judges being on his side almost always. Talking about when USADA stepped in and banned all enhanced substances. Before that it was free game.

GSP, yeah one of the best ever. Demetrious Johnson as well.

Still a long way to go but saw this and had to share:

“Send my money Dana, I want the money more than the sh*t belt”

And then Borz forgot the belt at the post fight conference as well 💀

Daniel Cormier was great but in grappling he can't match Dagestan level or Borzs. But I really like his hilarious take downs treating others as kids

Oh he definitely can. Should check out his grappling session with Khabib, both are similar weight and few years into retirement and he was handling Khabib with ease. Khamzat is an active fighter and may be better but DC like Jon is a generational wrestling talent and can hold his own with the Dagestani / Chechen / Georgian wrestlers

Honestly this is a pretty good take of the top 3-5:

Asim Munir

He grappled a thief single handedly

@Suleiman

Where would you rate Cro Cop and Liddell as strikers?
Didn’t really follow mma much when they were the mainstays. I would say they definitely put MMA on the map especially during the Pride days and are MMA legends, don’t think any of them are top 5 though. Rampage Jackson is another one from that era, he was the OG McGregor in terms of persona and charisma. Unfortunately no social media back then to help him power MMA to the main stream.

Pride seemed way more entertaining than UFC though. Had that backyard brawl type feel and the Japanese cinematic made it look cool. UFC now is a bit over produced.

This match would be interesting if ever happens and do you watch this YouTuber?

Not a fan of Muslims fighting each other… literally so much better use of that zeal right now.

If it’s a freestyle wrestling match that’s fine.

But an all out MMA fight with blood, serious injuries etc, seems off from an Islamic pov

Islam Makachaev understands this and so does Khabib.
