Two bowlers from similar era being part of some of the biggest success for their team. Both contributed to their team major victory to SA and have been one of the top fast bowlers from their era.

While Johnson has 313 wickets at avg of 28, Broad has got close to 400 wickets at avg of 29.

Who would be your pick? Who is better batsmen?

Tough call between the two.

However, Broad can only dream of having a season like MJ had in Ashes 2013 vs England and South Africa.

Anderson has done very well in this series and I will put him ahead of both Broad and Johnson now. The guy deserves credit for performing when he is on verge of retirement.

I would has said Broad but was surprised to find Johnson's average that low and that with many wickets. I though he only had two big series in his career.

The both quite decent with the bat really but I would say that for both of them to be at there best you need to have them in different conditions. Broad is really solid in the subcontinent whereas Mitch is really solid on pace friendly pitches.
