38 more to get for Gayle. Will he do it?

How many matches has he got total till end of world cup?

4 more Odis in Tri series between Ireland, Bangladesh and West Indies.

Will get a minimum of 13 matches to hit 38 Sixes.

Hope he breaks the record.

This record should go to someone who deserves it, and Gayle does deserve it

Indeed he does. He has 2x the number of sixes in T20s compared to the next best. I wonder how many he could get if he played 350 ODIs. 500 is a minimum.

Despite his limitations it just shows what an impact player Afridi was.

Gayle is pretty much a genuine batsman. Afridi on the other hand alongside his sixes has close to 400 wickets!

People tend to turn a blind eye to his primary task, which was bowling lol

Quinton de Kock has completed 100 ODI sixes. He has reached this landmark during opening game for South Africa vs Sri Lanka in ICC World Cup 2023

I don't see anyone going past Shahid Afridi at the moment because the number of ODI matches is keep declining with every passing year.
