England took 15 wickets in 2nd and 3rd Test against West Indies LBW. Yup, That was the mode of dismissals accounting for 37.5% West Indies batting.
I have been noticing that apart from Abbas no other Pakistani pacer is attacking the stumps enough and it's clearly reflecting in stats as well. So far in 4 innings played by English batsmen Pakistan pacers have bowled or got them Leg before only 5 times.
It clearly Proves that Pakistan bowling plan is reeking with one dimension
setup and that is to bowl 5th stump line and get the edge. It also indicates that There is an ultra defensive mindset seeped into Pakistan bowlers who are neither looking to attack the stumps or the body line bouncers.
Only Abbas seems to be attacking the off stump but he has erred in bowling Sub-continent length where balls keeps low. However in English condition you need to be 2 feet fuller and if that would have been the case his Wicket tally would have been different.
I thought, Shaheen would get many right hand batters Bowled or Leg before but he has not bowled them full enough on off stump line specially when batsmen is new at the crease.
Naseem, does not bowl too many In-dippers and even if doesn't have one
he can simply bowl a little fuller and straight on off stump and that will makehis stock away swinger much more effective.
Pakistan captain must use an extra fielder in the circle on leg side to allow bowlers to attack stumps and then those away going delivers will become even more effective. You may go for few runs but Pacers with new ball should not worry about it and look to get wickets.
The line Pakistan bowlers have bowled has been predictable and length has not been full enough. Pitches across the world have become flatter and these 7 -2 field can't be followed blindly.
This management has a "Fattu" (Meek) mentality written all over whether it's batting or bowling . This mentality is taking Pakistan Test cricket into an abyss
