Why and how are Pakistan producing so many left arm seamers lately?

If you look at the current bowling attack(in all formats)

It's Amir, Hassan, Junaid, Abbas, Rumman, Shinwari, Rahat, Tanvir, Wahab, Hamza

8 out of 10 are left armers.

Then there are other in domestics,

1. Zia ul haq (who once made it to the odi squad)
2.Sadaf
3.Shaheen (who's going to be fastracked by PCB)

Apart from Hassan and Abbas there are no Right arm seamers.

As far as I know, left arm bowling is truly an art, and a difficult one to work on, but how do they easily produce so many?

Meh. India will soon see a left arm pacer in Arjun Tendulkar :srini:

It's sort of funny. Most countries have a serious drought of left-arm pacers but doesn't seem to be the case for Pakistan. Left handed people are generally considered to be more intellectual and intelligent, so it makes sense only Pakistan has so many left arm fast bowlers. :)))

On a serious note, I think it has something to do with being inspired by Wasim.

I would agree with this part, its the Wasim affect. All those who watched him in the 90s are now at the stage where they are playing FC cricket and so forth.

Even left-arm spinners like Imad Wasim were inspired by Wasim Akram!

because of Wasim Bhai , he is like father figure to Pak cricket

This is called Wasim Bhai Impact :wasim

that's what you would think, but the guys playing now probably only saw the twilight of Wasim Akram's career

Shoaib Akhtar's generation would have seen the maximum impact of Wasim

There has been a significant increaase in left arm fast bowlers in the game post Wasim Akram. Not just in Pakistan. The emergence of starc, Boult and others are testament to that. Cricinfo had this great article comparing numbers of left arm seamers in cricket when Wasim played to a few years after he retired.

Right handers are lazy while left handers feel like they have to work double hard to prove their worth.

Junaid, Amir have been there for a while. Only Hasan and Raes are new additions.

Shinwari also played before for Pak. Was not impressive at all.

All of a sudden Pak bowling attack has improved. It seems to have happened right after the India-Pak game in CT when India demolished Pak. Suddenly Pak bowlers realized that they are all the Chelas of Wasim Akram and they are all bowling like him.

Right now, Pakistan has embarrassment of riches when it comes to chosing bowlers for ODI's. Unfortunately only 2 or 3 can play in the team. This is like 70's & 80's WI when every bowler they have was a world beater, but not all got to have a lengthy career.

Left armers are just better at the moment than right handers at domestics. I am sure if anyone did a count of right handers VS Lefties, it will be at least 75% right handers to 25% lefties

We have a drought of righties. I’m afraid that our talent will be so abundant that every country will start getting migrant players from Pakistan.

Mohammed Irfan plays for Australia
Mir Hamza plays for England
Sadef Hussain plays for South Africa

You should take the joy in producing world class batsmen again and again. Just look at Rahul truly mind boggling talent.

Why is Pakistan not producing any LEFT ARM WRIST SPINNER?

This is beyond my logic.

They have so many left arm bowlers(fast / left arm orthodox spinners i.e. off spinners) that it gets difficult to get into the first 15 and yet there are many who are practicing this trade at the under 19 level or at clubs.

Why can't the coaches at the club or at the NCA ask/teach some of them to start bowling left arm wrist spin as there is a serious scarcity of left arm wrist spinners not only in Pakistan but around the world, any half decent LAWSP (Left arm wrist spinner) would get a lot of hype and can be picked by one of the teams in the PSL as part of emerging player(specially by LAHORE QALANDARS) and yet they chose to be a Left arm orthodox only to struggle to get into any half decent team(Kamran Ghulam is an example of this).

What are the coaches doing at the junior level, don't they have any foresight, can't they think how difficult it would for a LAO (Left arm orthodox) to get into Pakistan team?

Note:-
Left arm wrist spin is a tough trade but if people won't try it they won't master it.
