Why are cricketers getting locked down?

I am gonna ask the question, why are cricketers being locked down when almost every other sport does not have a bio bubble? A player in Scotland's football team tests positive and the whole team except the player plays the next game and same with the opposition against which the covid positive player was playing. Busquets tested positive for COVID before the tournament and then returned to the team by their last group game whereas if one cricket player gets positive, the whole series/tournament is put in jeopardy? Why this discrimination against cricketers?

It makes no sense at all. The worst is that fans even demand these heavy protocols.

Look at Bonucci after after Italy beat Spain he joined Italian supporters even hugged them. Imagine a pak player doing that.

For some reason all cricketers have not got both shots yet unlike the footballers who received this on priority.

I don't think so footballers esp in England both got shots bc the delay here is 8 weeks and Pakistani and SL players got both doses already.

Guys - we are not going to discuss vaccines and their effectiveness on this thread.

Plenty of them in TPS.

Because you can still test positive even if you have taken the vaccine. Vaccine helps you fight the virus, it can’t stop the virus getting to you.

So a never ending story. Seeing the players walk in open air / outside with masks on, makes you really wonder what the world has come to.
