Cricket is returning back to pakistan but one thing which is same we host majority of matches in day/Night pattern.PSL 2019 is hosting one match in day light which is first of his own kind .If it do pan out well there should be more matches in day rather than day night. it will be refreshing to watch day match in HD quality instead of ptv domestic matches telecast of 1980 quality :inti
Interesting trivia
Last time Pakistan hosted a day time match was in 2008 a odi against zim in hyderabad .

Good question. Well as per the strict security arrangements and heavy number of policemen and security personnel it is not possible to hold day matches. As that will cause major disruption to citizens commuting to and from work. The nights are less busier out on the streets, and the security situation is easier to control.

Furthermore, cricket is rarely played in Pakistan so is not best to hold night matches so most people can come to watch after work?

Lastly, t20s are almost always held around night time.

I am not saying pcb should host maximum matches in Day time but only one day light match since 2008 is very bad.Unless we improve flood light of all the stadium we should host more day matches instead of night which looks over kill

I don't know about now, but I know in the past they always stayed away form day matches because of the intense heat during the day time.

Not only is that difficult on the players, but it keeps fans from purchasing tickets and attending games.

it will be refreshing to see since we are stuck with ptv whose coverage is beyond pathetic .Our lighting of stadium need major overhauled because current one looks pretty bad

I am currently in the NSK. The weather is bright and sunny.

It rained for a bit yesterday in the afternoon but since then it's been good

Day matches are rare in Asia in general, probably to do with the heat

thanks for the update .what about crowd?

Sorry, i didn't see this notification.

Crowd was around 60-70% for the first game as you probably saw. Excellent turnout for a Monday afternoon. The crowd in the evening was even better and it was a full-house.
