Why do Pakistani private schools not produce enough professional cricketers?

Was thinking about this. Although I do not believe in classism and I advocate merit and equality. But I have been wondering, surely schools such as Aitchinson and Beacon House, LGS and top schools in Karachi and Islamabad must have high quality coaches available to them. Yet the players that are coming through into the system are from the rural, middle-lower classes of Pakistan. The lack of education is usually very evident in these players and they have to do all of their culturing and cultivation as professional players during their careers and tours, plus their various stints with clubs and counties abroad.

So, my question is, are schools such as Aitchinson who have produced the legend of Imran Khan not doing enough in producing assets for the Pakistan national side? I for one would love to see a much more talented+ well educated culture in our side and this would certainly enhance our image and relationship with the cricketing community. In England, Australia, South Africa and even in India we see players coming through excellent backgrounds who go on to become excellent leaders on the field as well. Are we clearly missing this culture in our side? Please don’t give me failed examples of Shan Masood (who we are yet to see the best of) and the unfortunate case of Salman Butt. Players from affluent, educated backgrounds but didn’t quite kick on at the big stage.

I studied in a private school.

There is a lot of interest in cricket but it's quickly getting replaced by football.

Football has no future in subcontinent.Investment can never match europe and tropical humidity does not allow development of the game.

Have you seen the kids?

They have bigger American accents then kids from America

We don’t really have a sporting culture there any more

Thats because these private schools are purely business. They only care about money not about producing sporting talent or even giving quality education (their main job). Private schools have now become mafia with school fees which are already too high and on top of that if you want to join any sports classes you will have to pay extra fees. In rural areas there is still sporting culture left, in cities, there hardly any kids playing sports anymore, plus in Karachi, its becoming harder to even find space where you can play any sports.

Simple, they more focus on books than sports.
No ground facilities. Even our Government schools are loosing their grounds
