Why does Pakistan's problem with late order hitting get more attention than upper order collapses?

Asif Ali was included in the squad despite his sub-30 average in domestics because he was a hitter. We have also experimented with the likes of Bilal Asif.

Countries like England, Australia and India can afford such a batsman because their upper orders are strong.

Pakistan has had far more collapses over the years than a lack of power hitting at death.

Why do we let a few fluke 300+ scores guide our selection when in the majority of matches Pakistan struggles to cross the 250 mark?

Why (in the context of Pakistan) is a 28/110 number 6 better than a 35/95 one?
