Why not play Haider Ali at 5 and Imad Wasim at 6 in ODIs?

We have seen how teams like ENG, AUS have aggressive middle order batsmen at these two critical positions like Stokes, Buttler, Maxwell, Alex Carry

Why not try young Haider who can whack the ball and Imad who averages above 40 and SR 100+

Why do we keep persisting with failures like Asif Ali? Misbah must end his bias of selecting IU/SNGPL players.

This is a killer team for Indian conditions in 2023

Because Haider Ali is not good enough of a batsman to bat at no. 5 in ODI’s.

Most likely he will be out for 10 off 7 balls or 15 off 12.

Need to play Rizwan or Talat at 5 if Saud plays at 4 (eventually..)

Yea I agree, lets play him at 6, encourage him to slog from ball 1 and then spend the next decade looking at the lack of talent we have.

I think both should be in the ODI team but so should Haris Sohail.

I would prefer Haris at 5, Haider at 6 and Imad at 7.

Haider has been doing really well in the middle-order at that No.6 position since the PSL and I think that's the best place for him rather than at the top of the order which brings alot of added responsibility with it.

Still can't fathom the fact that Asif Ali and Sarfraz were preferred over him in the ODIs. Absolutely ludicrous.

He averages 40+ with SR 100+ Nawaz and Shadab are not even close. His bowling is a question though

His average is heavily bloated by not outs. In 40 innings he's not been dismissed on 17 occasions.

How many not outs have resulted in him finishing the game for us or driving us to competitive total? If this is a significant number then he might be the finisher we need. One thing I like about his batting is his shot selection and ability to pace a good finish.
