He is hailed as an ATG ODI opener but he averages 30 away from home and his record in Australia and South Africa (probably two best pace attacks of his era) and New Zealand is tailender like.
But the surprising part is that he has done very well in these countries in tests which shows that it wasn't a case of him being technically poor
