hey remember the canada match. we can easily do it. i think the odds are pretty much even
 
Is this CROWD the stupidest crowd ever? every time there is a ball bowled the fans think there is a wicket..

I'm not advocating that we drop him, but dont confuse his test performances with his ODI performances.
 
collymore is a bowler we dont play well...he will be a threat and is a canny bowler...

when skippers need to instil confidence n their side, they lead from the front and set the example...ala Imran Khan and others Waugh, Lara, Atherton...magar our skipper goes down the order....that is justified criticism...agreed
 
its quite amazing that a player of inzi's calibre is so liable for the lbw so often

Aj, I disagree with you Inzi, Moyo ,yuonis, malik are enuf middle order batsman...

just if our opener can stay at the wicket for 8 overs over middle order will be fine.... We havent lost any matches whenever opener has scored...

Younis shouldnt even bee in ODI team. we should have picked
bazid khan, fawad alam etc.. instead of azhar mahmood or yasir arafat..!
 
i can feel a classic Inzi/Yousuf partnership coming on. It would be great to see them put on a 100 in 140 deliveries!

RR is starting to climb in the danger zone, now at 5.5. They shouls take a few singles in every over to keep the score board moving.

They are not even looking for a single that will make the task too daunting in the end.
 
Looks like a good contest going on. Windies scored 80 runs in the last 10 overs. Looks like Pak need to up the ante early to account for that.
 
What will Mogambo do if he was commentating in SA-WI match? I think he will go for SA
 
I've decided to put myself up for the opening position for Pak. The way things have gone, if I get into double digits then I will be more productive then both our current openers combined!

Is this the famed lack of "ticker" that S.Waugh refers to amongst the Pakistan team and fans.
Come on, the pitch is only going to get easier. I would have taken 2 down after 15 overs, so what if it's 3.

this is all in my chew the fat thread. All these bakwas batsmen I don't know what they are doing. They either took the ball or they play it to a close fielder
 
Yousuf needs to push it along a bit more now...hes been there for a while, try picking up 4/5 singles an over at least and hit the odd boundary
 
they are feeling the pressure.this wicket is not as batting friendly as dean jones was suggesting.it has extra bounce just like the south african wickets have.req run rate will climb upto 6 pretty soon now.
 
This is going to go down to Rana hitting a six off the last ball for victory...

I think this combination of batsmen...while both excellent ....are not good together...too slow.....they are allowing the run rate to climb to 6 and above...

once they get a 100 partnership, no matter if its slow, expect them to get 8+ runs per over easy.

come on folks we have 7 wickets still in hand , the ground is small and inzi and moyo are still there..we will get there by 46th over and with wickets in hand . Inshallah
 
runs have dried up because our line up is full of sifarishi and past their retirement date batsmen...

We need to get going now, somebody tell Inzi and Yousuf that Razzaq and Afridi not here.
 
This is NOT looking good. 8 runs in the last 5 overs. These are two of the best batsmen in the world, facing two bowlers that have less than 100 wickets between them. And these maiden overs.

The concern here is not that the required run rate creeps up. The problem is that these batsmen themselves get under pressure, and make mistakes. This is exactly what happened to Younis. Two consecutive maiden overs, and then he hit a boundary. He wanted to aggressively repeat that, and paid the price.

WHEN WILL THESE PLAYERS LEARN ... singles are crucial. Not for the runs they bring, but for the confidence they instill in you.

waft and miss from moyo.

Bounce in wicket seems to be unsettling pakistan batsmen.
 
THose early wickets have meant that we haven't been able to capitalize off the powerplay overs. With not a huge total to chase down, that would have been ideal to get on top early.
 
Wait till the power plays are over, and the WI 4th and 5th bowlers come on, things will get better.
