Where is the so called democracy, secular values, tolerant, liberal values, progressive and respectful of minorities Indian people, society at large?
Will they prove that India is not a racist, nazi, and fascist country by stopping Modi, uprising against him and over throwing him from the office?
Or will they delightfully sit back, smiling and happily agreeing with his agenda, policies and being complicit in his crimes
For the good or bad, true or false, BJP has managed to created an image of itself as a party that gets things done and is willing to get its hands dirty for it.
It's managed it at a time Congress has a leadership vacuum and has no clear ideology or vision that appeals to the masses.
Everything the BJP does, everyone of them right from the top leadership to the grass root worker all seem to be on one page, speaking with same passion.
Congress on the other hand is a divided and confused house. Rahul Gandhi was all but a one man army fighting all of BJP and its trolls alone in the last election. I felt pity for him.
It is strange and annoying how Congress finds itself at the opposite end of every populist move of the BJP government. They've alienated themselves.
Politics is all about sensing the pulse of the nation and capitalizing on it. Gone are the days when few popular leaders dictated their will on people. Today public opinion dictates to leaders.
Congress's intellectual capital and liberal mindset is impressive but it is not winning them elections.
BJP took a stand, for the good or bad, on the Kashmir matter, something was Congress was quietly sitting over for 70 years. Some people may hate them for it but overwhelming majority of Indians , including even traditional Congress vote bank, is the matter's been taken head on for once. Every one is freaking tired of Kashmir. People wish to move on and are willing to let a government play the end game.
I think BJP will stay for another 10 years minimum. They have started their own Congressesque era.
