For years we have been looking for a spinner to take over. In modern history, it was Saeed Ajmal who was leading and than was replaced by Yasir Shah. In the meanwhile the likes of Zufiqar Babar and Abdur Rehman provided a supporting spin role with their left arm spin.
After Yasir Shah's pedophile case came up and he was not selected again, Pakistan has tried many spinners. Shadab, Nawaz, Qadir and Imad all came, but all these spinners had issues where some would not be able to turn the ball, while others cant even get their line and length.
Now here comes Abrar, turning the ball both ways, wasnt played in the world cup, and now has already started to have an impact in limited overs with his delivery turning both ways.
Is he the spinner that will lead the spin attack of Pakistan for the next 10 years?
