Will Azhar Ali walk back into the ODI team when fit?

Fakhar Zaman has taken to the position like none other, hitting fifties, final hundreds, giving Pakistan brisk starts and is the first pick for opener in the team. And while the second opener spot was a bit worrying, assurance has been provided with a debut ton from Imam who played briskly and at an SR of over 80 DESPITE it being his first international and chasing a small total.

Will Azhar, a very slow player with some a few good innings recently easily walk into the team and replace a younger player with tons of more potential?

At 34, this should be the end for Azhar in ODI's.

He is not good enough for ODIs. With the younger players performing so well in recent times, it will be a farce if he is selected again for the LOIs.

agree, Pakistan need a partnership - which doesn't lose a wicket in the first 14 overs, this combo only looks like it can achieve this.
