Greenland and Denmark say Trump set on ‘conquering’ territory after meeting

The foreign ministers of Denmark and Greenland have travelled to Washington, DC, to meet with members of President Donald Trump’s administration in the United States.

But on Wednesday, officials emerged having made little progress in dissuading Trump from seeking to take over Greenland, a self-governing Danish territory.

“We didn’t manage to change the American position,” Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen told reporters after the meeting. “It’s clear that the president has this wish of conquering over Greenland.”

Rasmussen and his Greenlandic counterpart Vivian Motzfeldt had hoped that their sit-down with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President JD Vance would alleviate mounting tensions over the fate of Greenland.

But the meeting failed to address key disagreements. Instead, the officials declared their intent to establish a working group to continue to address concerns about control over Greenland and security in the Arctic region.

“The group, in our view, should focus on how to address the American security concerns, while at the same time respecting the red lines of the Kingdom of Denmark,” Rasmussen said.

Motzfeldt, meanwhile, called for cooperation with the US but said that her position does not mean that the country wants to be “owned by the United States”.

A social media account representing Greenland’s government representation in the US and Canada also emphasised the need for Indigenous – or kalaallit – voices in any matters concerning the island.

“Why don’t you ask us, kalaallit? Last time a poll was done only 6% of Greenlanders/kalaallit were in favour of becoming a part of the US,” the account wrote in a post on X.

European allies have offered to expand security cooperation with the US in the Arctic, where the Trump administration has said that China and Russia pose a threat to Western interests.

But those offers have done nothing to blunt Trump’s insistence that the US will “own” the territory, despite rising alarm from the territory’s government and European allies.

On Wednesday, Trump reiterated his position that the US needs to own Greenland for “national security” purposes, during an Oval Office ceremony to sign legislation about domestic milk consumption.

The president also questioned whether Denmark could repel any potential invasion, should one occur.

“Greenland is very important for the national security, including of Denmark,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Wednesday.

“And the problem is there’s not a thing that Denmark can do about it if Russia or China wants to occupy Greenland, but there’s everything we can do.”

He added that  he has “a very good relationship with Denmark” and would be briefed about Wednesday’s meeting after his Oval Office appearance.

The United States already has a military presence in Greenland and could expand it further under the terms of an existing treaty.

“They have a base there at the moment; it has about 150 personnel there. But the Danes and the Greenlandic government are willing to discuss expanding the US military presence there,” said Al Jazeera correspondent Alan Fisher.

“But Donald Trump says that, unless it’s under US control, then anything less is unacceptable, and he’d like to see the US move into Greenland sooner than later.”

Europe allies begin Greenland military mission as Trump says US needs island

A 15-strong French military contingent has arrived in the Greenland capital Nuuk, officials say, as several European states send soldiers there as part of a so-called reconnaissance mission.

The deployment, which will also include personnel from Germany, Sweden, Norway and the UK, comes as US President Donald Trump continues to press his claim to the Arctic island, which is a semi-autonomous part of Denmark.

The deployment of European Nato allies of Denmark to Nuuk was unprecedented, said French special envoy Olivier Poivre d'Arvor, who saw it as sending a strong political signal.

"This is a first exercise... we'll show the US that Nato is present."

Trump has doubled down on his bid to bring Greenland under US control, telling reporters in the Oval Office "we need Greenland for national security". Although he has not ruled out the use of force, he said late on Wednesday that he thought something could be worked out with Denmark.

"The problem is there's not a thing that Denmark can do about it if Russia or China wants to occupy Greenland, but there's everything we can do. You found that out last week with Venezuela."

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Poland was not planning to join the European military deployment to Greenland, but warned that any US military intervention there "would be a political disaster".

"A conflict or attempted annexation of the territory of a Nato member by another Nato member would be the end of the world as we know it - and which for many years guaranteed our security," he told a press conference.

Russia's embassy in Belgium meanwhile expressed "serious concern" at what was unfolding in the Arctic, accusing Nato of building up a military presence there "under the false pretext of a growing threat from Moscow and Beijing".

However, the European Nato deployment consists of only a few dozen personnel as part of Danish-led joint exercises called Operation Arctic Endurance. While heavy in symbolism, it was not immediately clear how long they would stay.

Germany was sending an A400M transport plane to Nuuk on Thursday with a contingent of 13 soldiers, although officials said they would stay in Greenland only until Saturday.

Danish defence officials said they had decided with the government of Greenland that there would be an increased military presence around Greenland in the coming period to bolster Nato's "footprint in the Arctic for the benefit of both European and transatlantic security".

The US already has a military base in Greenland, currently staffed by up to 150 people, and has the option of bringing in far greater numbers under existing agreements with Copenhagen. But the Danish-led initiative is seen as signalling to the Trump administration that its European allies also have a stake in security in the Arctic and North Atlantic.

Sweden's prime minister said Swedish army officers had been sent to Nuuk on Wednesday. Two Norwegians and one British military officer were also being sent.

Downing Street said the UK shared President Trump's concern about "the security of the High North", and said the deployment involved "stepping up with stronger exercising, to deter the Russian aggression and the Chinese activity."

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said on Thursday that defence and protection of Greenland was a common concern for the entire Nato alliance.

Danish Defence Minister Troels **** Poulsen said the intention was to have a military presence "in rotation", with the aim of having a more permanent military presence on the island with foreign allies taking part in exercise and training activities.

Copenhagen has disputed Trump's justification for wanting to control Greenland. Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said on Wednesday there was no "instant threat" from China or Russia that Denmark and Greenland could not accommodate, although he shared American security concerns to some extent.

A Democratic-led US delegation is due to visit Denmark on Friday for talks with Danish MPs.

Rasmussen spoke alongside Greenland's foreign minister after talks with US Vice-President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The Danish diplomat said the talks were "frank but constructive".

He described a "fundamental disagreement" between the two sides and later criticised Trump's bid to buy Greenland.

"The president's ambition is on the table," the Danish diplomat told Fox News. "Of course we have our read lines. This is 2026, you trade with people but you don't trade people."

Greenland's Prime Minister, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, said this week that the territory was in the midst of a geopolitical crisis, and that if his people were asked to make a choice they would choose Denmark over the US.

"Greenland does not want to be owned by the United States. Greenland does not want to be governed by the United States. Greenland does not want to be part of the United States," he stressed.

IMO Trump doing all this dictatorship on the backing of Pakistan

Epstein is the real cause. Pak generals are now puppets, sold their backsides to Zionism.

The Greenland taking over was ordered to Trump by his masters. Not to take over but for their own entertainment and control. Zionism is now showing it make a complete tool of the so called most powerful man and order him to do anything.

Greenland doesnt have a single tree, its a frozen rock. Sure there are natural resources but very difficult to extract.

I don't think Trump can take Greenland because it belongs to Denmark and Denmark is an ally of USA.

American Congress is about to pass a bill that can restrict Trump's reckless behavior.

Also, after midterm election (scheduled to happen this year), Trump may find it even more difficult.

Still Greenland have strategic location...Trump fears that one day Russia invade and take Greenland.

Pak generals can't go against Trump as they knows Trump may change government in Pakistan and bring back IK in power

Trump can't just take it because Denmark is an ally of USA and Denmark is in NATO.

Also, anything Trump decides can be reversed once he is out of the office. :inti

Trump threatens tariffs on countries that don't support his Greenland takeover dreams

Trump mentioned he may punish countries with tariffs if they don’t back the US controlling Greenland. Trump's special envoy to Greenland plans a March visit, optimistic about an agreement. He highlighted the president's seriousness in securing Greenland for ‘national security’.

Go a full hour without crying about Pakistan in a thread that has nothing to do with Pakistan. I dare you.

Now Pakistan is responsible for trump wanting Greenland. Either Pakistan definitely left a psychological scar on your brain after whooping your homeland in combat that now you can’t go into a room without thinking it’s part of a Pakistani saazish. Or you’re giving Pakistan far more credit than it deserves. Lose-lose situation for you, because either you admit that Pakistan has such a large sphere of international influence that it dictates foreign policy on the other side of the planet… or you simply say that’s not the case and downplay Pak’s importance

Choice is yours :wenger

Before meeting Asim munir and shahbaz shariff Trump was Ok, but after meeting them Trump goes blah blah blah

May be his brain infected by them

I am enjoying this.
Europe bent over to appease this man for years and he just screwed them.

I am with Trump here. The reasons are obvious Greenland should be annexed for security reasons.

The reasons for capturing Maduro were equally obvious. It was nothing to do with Venezuela having the world's largest oil reserves. It's because Maduro was a drug dealer

Trump tariff threat over Greenland 'unacceptable', European leaders say

A threat by US President Donald Trump to impose fresh tariffs on eight allies opposed to his proposed takeover of Greenland has drawn condemnation from European leaders.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the move was "completely wrong", while French President Emmanuel Macron called it "unacceptable".

The comments came after Trump announced a 10% tariff on goods from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands and Finland would come into force on 1 February, but could later rise to 25% - and would last until a deal was reached.

Trump insists the autonomous Danish territory is critical for US security and has not ruled out taking it by force.

Following Trump's threats, the European Union called an emergency meeting for 17:00 in Brussels (16:00 GMT) on Sunday. The meeting will involve ambassadors from the EU's 27 countries, according to the Reuters news agency.

Meanwhile, thousands of people took to the streets in Greenland and Denmark on Saturday in protest at the proposed US takeover.

Greenland is sparsely populated but resource-rich and its location between North America and the Arctic makes it well placed for early warning systems in the event of missile attacks and for monitoring vessels in the region.

Trump has previously said Washington would get the territory "the easy way" or "the hard way".

European countries have rallied to Denmark's support. They have argued that the security of the Arctic region should be a joint Nato responsibility.

France, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, the Netherlands and the UK have dispatched a small number of troops to Greenland in a so-called reconnaissance mission.

Announcing the new tariffs in a post on his Truth Social platform on Saturday, Trump said those countries were playing "a very dangerous game". At stake, he said, was the "Safety, Security, and Survival of our Planet".

He said the proposed 10% levy to be introduced next month on goods exported to the US would rise to 25% in June and remain "payable until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland".

In his response, Starmer said: "Applying tariffs on allies for pursuing the collective security of Nato allies is completely wrong. We will of course be pursuing this directly with the US administration."

UK opposition leaders also criticised Trump's announcement. Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch said the tariffs were a "terrible idea", while Reform UK leader Nigel Farage said they "will hurt us".

France's Emmanuel Macron said: "Tariff threats are unacceptable in this context... We will not be swayed by any intimidation."

Swedish PM Ulf Kristersson said: "We won't let ourselves be blackmailed."

"Sweden is currently having intensive discussions with other EU countries, Norway and the United Kingdom to find a joint response," he added.

In a post on X, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said: "Territorial integrity and sovereignty are fundamental principles of international law."

"Tariffs would undermine transatlantic relations and risk a dangerous downward spiral," she added.

Meanwhile, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said "China and Russia must be having a field day" following Trump's announcement.

"They are the ones who benefit from divisions among Allies", she wrote on X.

European Council President Antonio Costa stated: "The European Union will always be very firm in defending international law... which of course begins within the territory of the member states of the European Union."

Denmark's foreign minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said the threat had "come as a surprise".

Meanwhile, German MEP Manfred Weber, head of the conservative EPP group in the European Parliament, said Trump's move raised questions about the still-to-be-ratified EU-US trade deal negotiated last year.

Brussels and Washington clinched a deal that agreed a US tariff on all EU goods of 15% and that the 27-member bloc would open its markets to US exporters with 0% tariffs on certain products.

"The EPP is in favour of the EU-US trade deal, but given Donald Trump's threats regarding Greenland, approval is not possible at this stage," Weber posted on X. "The 0% tariffs on US products must be put on hold," he added.

The US ambassador to the UN, Mike Waltz, however, said Denmark "just doesn't have the resources or the capacity to do what needs to be done in the northern region".

He told Fox News the life of Greenlanders would be "safer, stronger and more prosperous under the umbrella of the United States".

Trump has often mused that "tariff" is his favourite word, and he has made clear that he views it as something of a blunt instrument with which to convince – or coerce – countries around the world to align their policies with the desired outcomes of the White House.

But his announcement represents a significant escalation in his recently rekindled drive to acquire Greenland, despite their opposition.

It is unclear what immediately prompted the tariffs announcement, which Trump first hinted at while speaking to reporters at the White House on Friday.

While in recent weeks he has repeatedly said that a variety of options – including the potential use of military force – remained on the table, the announcement comes just days after US and Danish officials agreed to set up a high-level working group to discuss the future of the island.

In Washington's diplomatic and political circles, that announcement was seen by many as a "best-case" scenario for Denmark and its European allies – one that would, at the very least, delay any decision or further escalation from the White House.

Instead, the latest tariffs have injected a newfound sense of urgency into the issue and strained relations with important Nato allies and trading partners.

Gregory Meeks, the ranking Democrat on the US House Foreign Affairs Committee, said he will "be offering a resolution to terminate these illegal and absurd tariffs immediately".

He said: "Trump is manufacturing a foreign crisis and sabotaging our closest alliance – all while ignoring the real crisis the American people actually care about: affordability."

Opinion polls suggest 85% of Greenlanders oppose the territory joining the US.

Demonstrations against Trump's takeover plans were held in Danish cities as well as in Greenland's capital, Nuuk, on Saturday - before the tariff announcement.

In the Danish capital, Copenhagen, placards were held up reading: "Hands Off Greenland" and "Greenland for Greenlanders".

"We demand respect for the Danish Realm and for Greenland's right to self-determination," said Camilla Siezing, heads of Inuit, an umbrella group of Greenlandic associations.

In Nuuk, Greenland's Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen joined protesters holding signs reading "Greenland is not for sale" and "we shape our future" as they headed for the US consulate.

The rallies coincide with a visit to Copenhagen by a delegation from the US Congress. Its leader, Democratic Senator Chris Coons, described Mr Trump's rhetoric as "not constructive".

Bangladesh kitty Kats no one cares, no big deal, they hold zilch value lol 😆 :cobra

China is the real issue but it will never end up in any major conflicts as there is a 100 billion a year trade relationship that is growing and in China's favour with India, so barring the odd push and shove it will mainly be a solid business relationship...

Trump says he will '100%' carry out Greenland tariffs threat, as EU vows to protect its interests

Donald Trump has vowed to "100%" follow through on his threat to impose tariffs on European countries who oppose his demand to take control of Greenland.

European allies have rallied around Greenland's sovereignty. Denmark's foreign minister emphasised the US president cannot threaten his way to ownership of the semi-autonomous Danish territory.

UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper reiterated the UK's position that the future of Greenland is for "Greenlanders and for the Danes alone" to decide.

On Monday, Trump declined to rule out the use of force and insisted he would press ahead with the threatened tariffs on goods arriving in the US from the UK and seven other Nato-allied countries.

In a post to Truth Social in the early hours of Tuesday morning, the US president said he had a "very good telephone call" with Nato secretary general Mark Rutte, and agreed to a meeting "of various parties" in Switzerland this week.

He went on: "Greenland is imperative for National and World Security. There can be no going back — On that, everyone agrees!"

Trump has said he would charge Britain a 10% tariff "on any and all goods" sent to the US from 1 February, increasing to 25% from 1 June, until a deal is reached for Washington to purchase Greenland from Denmark.

He said the same would apply to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Finland - all of whom are members of the defence alliance Nato which was founded in 1949.

Asked if he will follow through on the tariff threat, Trump told NBC News: "I will, 100%."

When the outlet asked whether he would use force to seize the territory, the president replied "no comment".

Trump added: "Europe ought to focus on the war with Russia and Ukraine because, frankly, you see what that's gotten them... That's what Europe should focus on - not Greenland."

Denmark has warned that US military action in Greenland would spell the end of Nato. In recent days, Greenland has received support from European members of the alliance - some even sent a handful of troops to Greenland last week in a move seen as symbolic.

However, Trump followed that deployment with an announcement to impose tariffs on the eight Nato allies.

Danish foreign minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen said that Europe had to show President Trump tariff threats were "not the way forward".

"We have red lines that can't be crossed," he told Sky News. "You can't threaten your way to ownership of Greenland. I have no intention of escalating this situation."

Germany's Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that the tariffs did not benefit anyone, and he hoped to meet with the US president during his trip to Davos for the World Economic Forum.

He said: "We do not want this escalation. We do not want a trade dispute with the United States of America."

He also added that the Trump administration would not have been surprised by Nato's so-called reconnaissance mission over the weekend, as it had been announced and agreed upon beforehand.

"It was never a military action," the German chancellor said.

The European Union is to hold an emergency summit in Brussels for its leaders on Thursday where they will discuss how to respond to Trump's latest threat to take over Greenland.

Kaja Kallas, the EU's foreign policy chief, said the bloc has "no interest to pick a fight, but we will hold our ground".

"But trades threats are not the way to go about this," Kallas added. "Sovereignty is not for trade."

It comes as text exchanges between Trump and the Norwegian prime minister were released - showing that on Sunday the US president blamed Norway for the fact he didn't get the Nobel Peace Prize.

In his reply - seen by the BBC - Jonas Gahr Støre explained that an independent committee, not the government of Norway, awards the prize which last October went to Venezuela's opposition leader María Corina Machado.

"Norway's position on Greenland is clear. Greenland is a part of the Kingdom of Denmark, and Norway fully supports the Kingdom of Denmark on this matter," Støre added.

Trump also addressed the text message exchange in Monday's interview and said: "Norway totally controls it [the Nobel Prize] despite what they say.

"They like to say they have nothing to do with it, but they have everything to do with it."

Meanwhile, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (Norad) on Monday announced that multiple aircraft are on their way to Pituffik Space Base in Greenland.

The joint US-Canada military defence organisation stressed they are part of a routine operation "to support various long-planned Norad activities", and said they had been coordinated with Denmark and that the government of Greenland had been informed.

Similar Norad operations at the base took place in 2022, 2023, and last year.

Bro this is not a Pakistani pov but Chinese . When Trump tariff threat pointed at China, they answered they can open new markets inc selling more within China . If they can survive without US trade , India won’t ruin them either .

Security is key for China . India should not align itself to Zionists or Americans, they will sell india out , trump already has , he does not see India as an India sees itself . India should enhance all relations with its neighbours

Red dragon is now becomes a cat

Emirates have little influence in the Muslim world , they think they do but in reality it’s a tiny nation with no army . Ultimately strength produces influence .

It’s pretty stupid for India to make any defence pact with a tiny nation which in war will do nothing to help India .

Trump doubles down on Greenland ahead of Davos visit, saying there is 'no going back'

US President Donald Trump has doubled down on his threats to take control of Greenland, saying there is "no going back".

Asked at a news conference how far he was willing to go to acquire the semi-autonomous Danish territory, he replied: "You'll find out."

It comes after French President Emmanuel Macron warned of a "shift towards a world without rules", and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said the "old order is not coming back".

Trump was due to arrive in Davos ahead of his speech at the World Economic Forum on Wednesday, but a minor electrical issue on Air Force One forced the plane to turn around.

It was unclear how the delay would impact his schedule. The White House said the plane turned around and that Trump would fly to Switzerland on another aircraft.

Trump has said there are "a lot of meetings scheduled on Greenland".

Earlier, during a lengthy press briefing, Trump also told reporters that "things are going to work out pretty well" in Greenland.

Asked by the BBC whether the possible break up of Nato was a price he was willing to pay for Greenland, Trump responded: "Nobody has done more for Nato than I have, in every way.

"Nato is going to be happy and we are going to be happy [...] We need it for world security."

But he earlier questioned whether Nato would come to aid of the US, should it be required.

"I know we'll come to [Nato's] rescue, but I just really do question whether or not they'll come to ours," he told reporters.

Nato currently has 32 member states, with the US one of the 12 founding countries.

Designed to safeguard freedom and security through a collective defence, one of the core principles of the Nato alliance is outlined in Article 5, which says that an armed attack against one or more members will be considered an attack against all.

Trump has not ruled out using military force to acquire Greenland. Asked by NBC News on Tuesday whether he would use force to seize the territory, the president replied: "No comment".

In an interview with BBC Newsnight on Tuesday, Greenland's minister of industry and natural resources, Naaja Nathanielsen, said that Greenlanders were "bewildered" by the president's demands.

"We do not want to be Americans, and we have been quite clear about that," Nathanielsen said.

"What value do you put on our culture and our right to decide what happens with us in the future?"

Ahead of the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, Switzerland, Trump shared screenshots that he says showed text messages sent to him by Macron and Nato Secretary General Mark Rutte.

In the messages, Rutte was seen saying he was committed to finding a way forward on Greenland, while Macron said he "does not understand what you are doing", but offered to organise a meeting with other leaders in Paris.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, addressed the matter directly in a speech to attendees on Tuesday, emphasising that Europe is "fully committed" when it comes to the security of the Arctic.

However, she said that this could only be achieved together, and called Trump's tariff threats "a mistake".

The US president has said he will add a 10% tariff to "any and all goods" imported from eight European countries from 1 February if they opposed his proposed takeover of Greenland.

In her speech, Von der Leyen added that the European Union stands in "full solidarity" with Greenland and the Kingdom of Denmark – adding that their sovereignty is "non-negotiable".

Her words were echoed by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, who said that his country's commitment to Nato's Article 5 was "unwavering".

"We stand firmly with Greenland and Denmark and fully support their unique right to determine Greenland's future," Carney said.

During his own speech at Davos, Macron said he preferred "respect to bullies" and the "rule of law to brutality".

Earlier on Tuesday, Trump threatened a 200% tariff on French wine and champagne after Macron reportedly declined an invitation to join the Us-led Gaza "Board of Peace".

The French president condemned the "endless accumulation of new tariffs" as "fundamentally unacceptable", particularly when used as leverage against territorial sovereignty.

Macron is among those urging the EU to consider retaliatory options against US tariffs, including the anti-coercion instrument, nicknamed a "trade bazooka".

Sources close to the international trade committee have said that the European Parliament is planning to suspend approval of the US trade deal agreed in July, in a move that would mark another escalation in tensions between the US and Europe.

Indians like uae because they let you in for work . There’s no security when it comes to energy in the long run , oil prices can shoot through the roof in the event of any conflict in the region . Iran is a good example.

What is India’s stance regarding regime change in Iran ?

You don’t like emirates because they recognised Israel and mbz is pro Indian, oil producers can always offer deep discount if they want, many do,

Khameinei regime hasn’t been anti Indian infact india has invested in infrastructure in Iran, India wants a stable sanction free iran

I really am enjoying this. Trump pretty much doing whatever he wants and no one can do anything about it. These European leaders are so spineless. They patted his back during Gaza genocide. Now reap what you sow.

I am actually looking at vacation options in Greenland as the 51st state of USA. Any recommendations?

Trump wont take Greenland because there is no need for them to. This is just a "shosha" to distract the world from Trump being named in the Epstein files. The release is heavily redacted which leads one to believe there is strong case for Trump engaging in pedophilia. Pretty disgusting stuff but thats all there is to it. Once that hype dies down, we will stop hearing about Greenland - and he will go back to bashing immigrants and non-whites.
I think he's far beyond being afraid of the Epstein files now. He has loyal judges who'll block any further release if he asks them to. The Justice department is filled with his loyalists who'll happily burn the archive and claim it was an accident of it comes down to that. Even a revelation or two of underage sex will only set him back minorly. He can claim he didn't know the age and his MAGA fanatics will buy it.

I think the Greenland thing is just him thinking he's being very cunning, clever and strategic just like the tariffs thing. He enjoys being a bully and getting one over people. He doesn't fully understand economics and geopolitics and tends to go with his 'business instincts.'

For example, I think he probably feels he has a huge win in Venezuela and will gain control of their oil. Obviously, a bit of in depth analysis will reveal that's not so. Governments will change in both countries and priorities will change. American oil companies will not be willing to risk the billions of dollars needed to upgrade the infrastructure and extract the oil on the word of a President in the US and a government in Venezuela which are notoriously unreliable.

I am waiting to see how the British press manufacture excuses for him when the invasion happens.

Will Greenland suddenly have weapons of destruction? Maybe their women are forced to wear burqas?

Let's wait and see because when it happens you can be assured that their will eventually be a reason for why it was necessary.

I think you have drawn a bleaker than reality picture of the US justice system. Yes there are right leaning judges on the bench but to call them Trump loyalists is a bit much. USA is not India or Pakistan (just yet). The system and the institutions are strong enough to withstand Trumps assault. Look up whats going on with Lindsey Halligan, just as an example.

With that said, I do see your point about the Cheeto just being cheeto.

Iceland Greenland will be taken over by US, its just a matter of time, may be Iceland too or both or either one of them or whatever...

At this point it is total clown show. If Trump wants, he can take it in a day. No country will oppose him.

With US debt growing by the day, it is terrible to see this kind of rhetoric about taking over foreign lands. Possible smokescreen to hide the growing internal troubles in US economy.

Only time will tell. But so far, the stock market at least does not like what Trump is doing. Fear and panic selling going in.

How do you like them apples, Europe?

The real enemy is always from within, and now with Trump hellbent on regime change in Greenland, NATO members can't do jack, and now deserve a taste of their imperialist medicine.

The West is in rapid decline, UK still has a chance to amend relationships with the East, but one thing is for certain now, Amreeka cannot be trusted, not even by the 5 eyes.

I think this was all a plan for him and his buddies to make crap ton of money. I am starting to get his deal here. He does this outrageous stuff to cause a market upheaval. It is all pre-planned. then he brings the market back up by issuing such statements. inbetween somewhere a lot of people make a lot of money.

That's exactly what I think...

He makes sweeping statements and then backtracks a couple of days later...
Meanwhile someone has made tens of millions from the fluctuations...
