As of now, Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif both have been provisionally suspended by the PCB from PSL. The only thing we know right now is that their suspension is related to them being linked to corruption(fixing). This could be either talking with bookies, not reporting bookies, or worse taking money and doing foul play.

Suspension means that they are now public, and everyone knows that something has happened.

Islamabad United has built its team around the the concept of team work, team gelness and all. This was one of the reason why its the only team that retained 17 of its players from the first edition, and why they easily won yesterdays game in a mammoth chase.

In my opinion, the suspension of these two players will definitely ruin the morale of the team. It will have a negative effect on all the team building exercise the franchise has been doing with this team.

Whether they get an official ban or not, the damage has been done. Many players don't like those players who get their name dirty for being linked to fixing.

How will Islamabad United move forward from this? Will they be able to defend their title, or will there be a flow of negativity in their dressing room?

Definitely. I'd open with Billings and Smith. Haddin at 3 and Watson at 4.

Of course.

It will be interesting to see who they call up if both are banned.

There is no better play of spin then Khalid Latif, and to tackle asghar and nawaz, he was much needed.

anyways, lets hope Misbah doesnt call up Jamshed here.

Yeah. Would be fair to say that "Islamabad ko nazar lag gayi."

Opening with Billings and Smith is a good idea, since Latif started on the bench anyway.

I'd bring in Talat/Shadab at #6 for sure.

For squad replacements, Nauman Anwar and/or Imam should come in IMO.

Still, Sharjeel is very much irreplacable.

the whole situation was terrible. Akram was unhappy, jones was just angry. Irfan was seated abit away. Haddin didnt look like he wanted to bat

Sent Isl guys a list of potential replacements yesterday.

Let's see if any are called up.

Can't imagine how low everyone must be feeling, like you say the team had almost become a family it was something they had emphasised throughout the first season and in preparation for it so for this to occur especially as a result of their own must be even more awful

Would have been ideal for misbah if Jams was 4-5 years older.
