Will it bother Indian fans if PCB ends up doing what they wanted BCCI to do? Forfeiting a match

Its no secret that in the past we used to see Indian fans post that BCCI should forfeit its game against Pakistan. Shiv Sena group used to pressure the govt and BCCI would always give leaks and would contemplate on it, only at the last minute they would change their mind and the Pakistan India game would go ahead. As BCCI always placed money first, irrespective of how many indian soldiers were dealt with by Pakistani Jawans.

This would irk many Indian fans along with Shiv Sena group, but they would celebrate the win and move on. The Indian soldiers would be forgotten.

Now, for the first time ever, its PCB that is threatening to do a pull out. They have told ICC and ACC in simple words that if India cant play in Pakistan, than Pakistan won't be going to India to play either. Be it World Cup or what ever.

This was something that Indians always wanted BCCI to pull, and now PCB can potentially do something like this. Who knew few years ago, PCB would be doing this with BCCI?

Now knowing how jazbati Indian fans were, who wanted India to forfeit games against Pakistan, if Pakistan, IF IF IF IF, Pakistan actually ends up pulling out of the Asia Cup or the World Cup (condition that India doesnt go to Pakistan), would this irk the Indian fans?

Would bother me as a cricket fan. Bilateral and long format cricket fan is dying. ODI cricket in particular needs its top teams to play each other at its marquee event. Otherwise, ODIs will die out and that would be a sad demise for cricket s best format. Don't care about Asia Cup though.

IMO, it will be extra stupid for Pakistan to pull out of the WC.
Its time to strike hard while the iron is hot.

Me MUST understand the concept of “Hit them where it hurts”

It’s a double dip for Pakistan - go to india - play the WC and get your $30 million or whatever from BCCI/ICC Indian money (hit number 1) on them and then let our Jawans keep slaughtering their soldiers if they violate the border rules (hit number two on them).

This double dip will give them an unforgettable heartburn.

Pakistan should go to India for the world cup but consider forfeiting the India match in Ahmedabad just before the toss. This would be for the following reasons:

- to stick it to the BCCI who would have gone through a lot of logistical pain to arrange this match and as payback for ruining Pakistan’s hosting of the Asia Cup

- To troll the sponsors, broadcasters and give a warning to the ICC to ensure that Pakistan’s Champions Trophy hosting rights are protected. Sending the message that “We can turn nasty if you try and undermine us and hit your pockets, so remember that in future”

- to protect our players from the pro BJP hostile crowd that will be there in the 100s of thousands

- to avoid another Asia Cup humiliation because defeating India is pretty much out of the question. So instead of losing by 200 runs, its better to forfeit.
