call it what it was, selfish
If professor or Malik did something like that we know what response would be
A call as bad as sending Ramdin early.
Not to mention he could have retired into the sunshine after the draw in ENG and than proceeded to take us on a 0-5 in NZ and AUS. That could be excused somewhat as a new captain would have also struggled but he let us suffer through two years of Azhar "Acha Bacha Hamosh" Ali as ODI captain. A guy who hadn't played an ODI in 2 years was made captain where we lost 0-3 to BD. SHAMELESS.He is pathetic and selfish, what else can we expect from him? Remember this is the same guy who refused to retire and PCB had to have a word in his ear that you will be unceremoniously dropped if you don't retire.
Did you watch the match? Ramdin was trying to score but he couldn't put bat on ball against Shadab.ramdin did the right thing.
Thing was the play survival till the 15th over and then attack.
LQ was not surviving. Call it a strange strategy but it worked.

Sarfraz was the only option. Guy scored a match-winning 49 against SA and a century against IRE. He had the previous experience and proven leadership with an U-19 WC win. Yet he was out of favor because an 80+ year old Chairman and 40 year old with a mindset of 30 years prior wanted a defensive captain to steer a new team. That would have worked had it been someone who played the format in the last 2 years!Genuine question, who should have been the captain at the time instead of Azhar?

That was the darkest period in PAK's LOI cricket. In NZ when AA substituted the 2nd Test in place of Misbah, there was a moment of Maximilian terror that he would be made Test captain.Sarfaraz... he was in the side and was one of the contenders but Acha Bacha was given the captaincy on pathetic Misbah's recommendation.

Lol when was that? He wanted to retire after Australian tour but Shahryar Khan convinced him to go to WI tour and retire on a high. Too much hate from you on Misbah.
Pakistan's most successful Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq has put his retirement plans on hold after beating England by 127 runs in the third Test on Thursday to clinch the series 2-0.
Misbah, who has already retired from Twenty20s and ODIs, had hinted before the Test series that it could be his last at the age of 41.
_______________
Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shaharyar Khan also met Misbah during the second Test match in Abu Dhabi and asked him not to step down from Test cricket after the series against England.
Khan once again insisted on Thursday that he won't allow Misbah to quit leading the team in Test matches.
"No matter what Misbah says, I won't let him go now," Khan told reporters in Pakistan's eastern city of Lahore soon after the victory at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. "He has tremendous leadership qualities and we need that in future too."
Call it a strange strategy but it worked.
He'd been thinking of retiring even before that but the PCB convinced him to stay on.

But facts don't matter to some...
I can only imagine what they would have scored if it didn't work....
no captain has given more chances to youngsters than Misbah. Fact.
no captain has given more chances to youngsters than Misbah. Fact.
This is true.
Really promoting and supporting the youngsters.
Respect to IU.

IU new runrate after this win is 0.054
its the second worst runrate in the league currenlty.
