Will Pakistan ever get a decent chinaman or off-break bowler?

We have talents like Shadab, Ibtasam and Usama Mir in our set up as leggies

There is a plethora of left arm spinners (mostly darters), with only zafar gohar and possibly Umar Khan being the ones who actually spin it.

Though there is a serious dearth of batters, but we are doing okay with the likes of Fakhar and Imam, and the fact that babar will prolly be an ATG gives us hope that he will hold the batting unit together.

As far a hitters are concerned, if feel Asif Ali, U akmal, Faheem can do an okayish job for some time

What we really are lacking is an offie in our set up, and the fact not even a single candidate with potential to excel in the dying art has been seen in domestic cricket for a long time is a serious concern for us.

As far Chinaman bowlers are concerned, they are a treat to watch, but we haven't even seen anyone from Pakistan who seemed to have mastered the art.

So, can we assume that we will never find a chinaman or an off-break bowler?

Shadab, Ibtisam and other leggies are around in the setup, but there are actually no FC level leggies around right now after Yasir. If you check the top wicket-taking spinners in FC cricket in recent seasons, pretty much all are slow left-armers.

Think Irfan Khan is a really good FC cricketer.

Nevertheless, we are nowhere with our Test cricket, pitches are awful in domestic cricket and because of that
(a) Seamers don't get to bowl long spells so, they are hovering around 130s in Test matches. Apart from Abbas there is nobody in our side who actually sets up a wicket. All of them are trying to bowl that magic ball, not realizing the importance of being persistent. Think Amir has improved in terms of persistent line and length in the last year or so.
(b) Spinners are hardly getting a chance to bowl on these pitches, and so are unable to figure out the manner in which they have to test the temperament of the batsmen. These pitches have been an impediment to the growth of bowlers like Usama Mir.
PCB really needs to invest in FC cricket to boost our Test match resources.

Lahore qalandars sent two players for practice in Australia. Haris rauf and ahsan Mirza. Mirza is a chinaman bowler and can bowl googly too. Hopefully he will be ready for the next PSL and will perform same way Haris is performing.
