Will Pakistan's decade championship run continue?

Exciting thread, would love to hear your opinions, ICC Tournaments only happen every couple of years anyways so the decade window is perfect as at most we will get 5-7 tournaments in 10 years.

Early 90's - World Cup in 1992
Late 00's - T20 World Cup in 2009
Late 10's - Champions Trophy in 2017

Are we continuing our streak and winning a Championship this decade, if so when will be our best chance to do so?

2023 WC is the closest we’ll get but India will probably win it. The reason is because SENA won’t do as well, and subcontinent teams Bangladesh and Sri Lanka don’t seem to have particularly notable talent that will bloom by then (except maybe Hasaranga, Shanaka, and Gunathilaka who I think can be in their primes by then). I wouldn’t be surprised to see Sri Lanka make the semis under Mickey.

Anyhow, should be easy for Pakistan to get to the knockouts. The real question is how we’ll do at that point

2021 India T20 WC is also a possibility, assuming Pakistan is allowed to play and players don’t get death threats or something. I don’t see us winning a tournament in SENA until at least the second half of this decade. Not sure what the fixtures are

Winning the World Test Championship in the 2020s should be the number 1 goal.

Finals in 2021, 2023, 2025, 2027 and 2029.

The final is an ICC Event and the first ever ICC Event for Test Cricket.

Virat Kohli says it is the number 1 event for him and everything else comes under that.

Test Cricket is considered the pinnacle after all.

Yeah I'm not confident in our batsmen to do well on those type of wickets, don't think they have the spine or temperament.

Only babar has the temperament and the skill to play tough conditions all the rest either to slow or to fast but I like haider ali seems like hes got mature head and can play spin really well
