A true man is not afraid of a good fight.

Ben Stokes is among the biggest stars in the cricket world talent wise but your bhaijaan is just sad to see him grinding it out more often now days rather than his good old counter attacking game.

Epic thread. Now create one for Curran.

A sensational 70 ball 90 by Stokes, manages to take the game from India by the scruff of its neck.

Playing to the situation which is a sign of his maturity with the bat.

Played the sort of innings Misbah was slaughtered for.

He steadied the ship after some quick wickets but Stokes has been underachieving with the bat since his ton against the Windies last summer (and even there he benefited from multiple drops).

Jos Buttler as a wicket-keeper batsmen will be as valuable as Ben Stokes in tests while in ODIs, Stokes is not fit enough to tie the shoelace of England's potentially greatest ever ODI player.

The counter attacking Ben Stokes seems dead. Sad to see him going MSD way too soon. He was at his devastating best as an attacking batsman. I fail to understand why he is curbing his natural instinct. He really needs to have a word with someone like Gilchrist who played numerous rescue operations without parking the bus.

That court case has taken something out of him. I would have rested him for the summer and brought him back against SL.

He’s actually been batting quite well though. Less recklessly.

He’s being called on to do the job of a top order batsman because 1-4 are failing collectively again and again. Constant repair work. It would have looked worse if he bashed a couple of sixes then got out.

Low scoring game so no real blame on him

He will serve well if he takes some big wickets when England bowl next
