From the outset of populist movement across Europe the two most sane voices that held guard of a Centre EU was Merkel and Macron.
For many Merkel's face represents the EU, a 13 year reign of EU's most powerful and influential country meant that she played a dominant role in the Union's affairs. Many a time took tough decisions including accepting helpless people during the migration crisis.
But multiple electoral defeats and the rise of the far-right AfD has seen Merkel hand in the towel. She will step down and not stand another election.
Macron, EU's golden boy stood against the right-wing LePen and beat her hands down. A new party, a young face, Macron virtually did the impossible. It was a victory for the centre against the right-wing.
That seems long ago now, Macron has united the whole country against him. Protests, Riots things are slipping out of his control. Le Pen is back riling up protesters.
What happens if both these personalities are no more a part of the EU leadership. Right-Wing parties are gaining popularity in every EU country.
Is this the beginning of a Far-Right EU?
