World Cup played in the February and March window in India.

IPL would follow that in April and May.

Will it be played in January that year I wonder?

Can they fit it all in in January if so?

Something the PCB need to start thinking about and planning.

Wouldn't surprise me if there is no PSL in that particular year.

If there is don't expect too many World Cup hopefuls from other nations participating given the proximity of the tournament to the World Cup - a bit like the IPL last year where Warner etc left early.

One way around it might be to have a 19 match tournament that year and just play everybody once before the play offs.

Or maybe even be innovative and play a 35 over league that season as a one off with one game per day over those 19 games heading into the World Cup for ODIs.

Its 3 years away so definitely the schedule can be made and adjusted accordingly. Can be done earlier as you have mentioned. Might clash with Big Bash, but it happens and its not the first time a league will be changing its schedule for one off year.

No need to cancel or change the format as the brand value of the league keeps on increasing with consistency and not to forget it would be the 4th season of the league in Pakistan and considering the money it would start producing form now on with it being fully played in Pakistan, PCB will make sure there is no gap year.

it will be here until 3033 depending on if the world doesnt end or if the country is not wiped out in a nuclear war.

the money these t20 leagues bring make them irreplaceable.

Best time for that year is during IPL - it will be an experiment as well to measure impact of overlapping schedule.
