It looks likes the best batsman in the world has some scores to settle after his last tour in England during the summer 2014 Test series. Averaging only 13.4 after 5 matches with a total 134 runs across the series with not even a fifty, never mind a century to his name; Kohli is certain to rectify these numbers this time around.

In a bid to tune for the India series in England this summer, Kohli has signed up for the County side Surrey. The India captian will be hoping to use his time there to adjust to English conditions. The 29-year-old batsman will feature in three County Championship matches and at least three One-Day Cup games.

Inevitably, Kohli will play much better than last time around in England as no doubt he is a far better Test match player than he was back then and is at the height of his powers. So will Kohli now lead India to victory and add to his already burgeoning legend?

At most he will play 4 matches .... in a month....assuming he does not get out early even once...he is hardly gonna get more than 100 overs of practice. Out of these 100 overs at most quality bowlers will bowl 25 overs.....so technically only 25 overs......shoild not really make much of difference

He might score a hundred or two this time. Hopefully he improves his average but want India to lose badly.

I am not sure if he will conquer England but I cannot fault him for not trying. He has only one blip in his resume in tests and he wants to correct that. I appreciate him for the same.

He will come good. However, I dont consider England as any sort of benchmark.

I just think India has great chance to repeat 2007 heroic again. Should not fail this time.

He will come good even without playing for Surrey. He's a different player compared to 2014.

He will score 2 centuries and will have decent tour. Rahane and Vijay will be key too. Pujara and Rahul idk.

He will. People are reading too much into that failure in his first series. He was in horrible form, he failed everywhere around that time.

Nope. Once a fisherman always a fisherman.

Worse players than him have done well in England. He is trying his best to improve his performance. But yes, a person has full rights to see only negative things.

I want both India and Pak to do extremely well in England and overseas.

A batsman of his caliber is bound to do well in all conditions.

Last year I was the biggest critic of his performance in England but I feel he's improved since last seasons. He'll do well this time around.

That said, both Jimmy and Broad will come after him hard. It won't be easy.

It'll be a heck of a series.

Insha'Allah Pak will win 2-0 against the English to make things extra spicy for our Indian brethren :yk

For our sake, I hope Pakistan wins 2-0. It will completely demoralize England team. Come on brothers, i'm with you.

Can’t do any worse than what he did last time he toured.. Kohli is at the zenith of his cricketing career and if he wants to go down as the best hopefully he has a terrific series in England.. I hope he helps us win..

Yes but if they win 2-0 ( which isnt likely) and we lose badly, then we wont hear the end of it for another 5 years.

Ideal scenario, both India and Pak win the test series... everyone happy :murali

Kohli isn't the same player he was 4 years ago. It's very unlikely he will fail this time around, especially since it's 5 match series-plenty of chances for him to score big. Worst case scenario he will average around 30-35.

True, although, he had established himself as a beast in ODI's, Kohli would have been aware of the criticism he was receiving for his Test performances in that series and afterwards. Now he has taken that to a whole new level as well.

Will Virat Kohli score a century on this tour of the UK?

Doesn’t look like it which is sad. :(

1 more ODI and up to 10 test innings to go.

If him and Rahane don't turn up for the tests - century or not - we're dead in the water.

If I recall correctly he only has one century in England?

He played pretty well in the first ODI.So defnitely not struggling for form.We need him firing to win the Test series for sure.

Probably, I recall one from Cardiff 2011. Don't know if there were any more.

You can succeed in ODIs without necessarily making a 100+ score though. Tests are a different story.

Plenty of games to go. Why does it look like he will not get a century when he was close to getting one only a couple of days ago?

Genuine question.

And ya, don't be sad. :)

I thought it was a 3 match test series but idk Kohli seems to have lost the magic since South Africa.

Lost the magic? What on planet Earth are you even....lol....Yes ydk

This is his second ODI after the 129* that he made in SA. He has a 75 and 45 in the two games.

Was underwhelming in IPL and in recent T20Is.
