Would Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali and Fakhar Zaman be regulars in Pakistan team by now if not for PSL?

Others include Nawaz, Asghar etc.

Makes you wonder how many players have been missed out on earlier since there wasnt an event of such type before.

Mickey Arthur and future coaches have been very lucky in this regard

Pak team would look like this:
Azhar*
Butt
Hafeez
Shafiq
Malik
U. Akmal
K. Akmal+
Anwar
Tanvir
Wahab
Irfan

Yh we would have probably missed those players and a lot more
PSL has worked wonders

also Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif before their stupidity

They probably would still be regulars cos they'd still be doing well in domestics. Even before the last PSL where they all made names for themselves they were being talked about a lot. However, I have no doubt that if it wasn't for the PSL, they wouldn't be as good as they are currently. Rubbing shoulders with some of the best players in the world on a much bigger stage than the domestic matches is a great learning experience.

no way Shadab, Nawaz and Fakhar would have made debuts if not for PSL

Fakhar Zaman was already doing good before PSL in domestic cricket. Pakistan have struggled with openers before. Maybe I was wrong about Shadab Khan though, his name had been floating around but without PSL they probably would have thought he was too young. Hasan Ali debuted in 2016 and he only really became a big name in 2017.

Still he had to wait till almost 27, which proves the point actually - and that's the saddest part of this thread.

I doubt PCB selectors watch domestic players or not.

Hasan and Fakhar would have represented Pak soon enough.Shadab and Nawaz also but they would have taken 3-4 more years

Amir, Afridi, Umar Akmal, Malik didn't need PSL and they all were quite young when they made their debuts.

Inzi only does his job during the one month of PSL..... that's why I said guys like Nasir Nawaz will have to wait till PSL 2019 to even be on Inzi's radar even if they hit 50 centuries in domestics.

You have a point about Fakhar, but Hasan and Shadab were no where on the radar.

No they wouldn't have been selected without PSL. Hasan Ali would have been selected at an age where he wouldn't have been able to improve.

Well Hasan Ali played only 3 matches in the first PSL and didn't do anything special yet he still debuted in 2016. So I think he probably would be in the Pakistan team without it. I admit I was wrong about Shadab though, without PSL selectors would think he was too inexperienced but in the PSL he showed he has the potential to play with the best of the best.

PSL showcases talent, so it is obviously a platform that counts and brings forth new talent. A lot of people are watching so you become famous much sooner and don't have to work as hard as you would have to in domestic first class cricket which very few people watch. Hasan, Fakhar, and Shadab have all benefited from PSL exposure.

U19 kid who was slapping huge sixes in recent domestic T20 tournament.... During a post match ceremony he said something against PCB and hasn't played since was even not picked for u19 team to WC even though he was eligible.

#Corruption pe humara bhi haq hai

No way, we would see them in another 4 years maybe. By then, the domestic system in Pakistan would have destroyed their games.
