Instead of watching Australia versus Pakistan on television, you watch Hong Kong Under 19s versus England Under 19s.

You don't even bother to look at the scorecard when you wake up in the morning. Because you already know that Pakistan will have lost.

Mrs Saj (who knows virtually nothing about cricket), asks you how many Pakistan lost by.

You are waiting for the next ridiculous dismissal from one of the batsmen.

You guess who will drop the next sitter when Pakistan are in the field.

Things are bad ladies and gentlemen, things are very bad.......do add your own scenarios in this thread.

when you rejoice Pakistan Under 19 beating Papua New Guineau U-19 :(

...Shoaib Malik makes his umpteenth comeback into the side.

...Your 2nd most reliable batsmen has played one test series.

...Miandad is stunned to silence.

...your coach's age is equivalent to the teams cumulative age.

we have to rely on Misbah to play and make runs

When you wake up in the morning to make sure your fave player isn't being bashed for dropping ANOTHER catch :aamir

No names mentioned

people are asking for the likes of Hasan Raza, Taufeeq Umar, Mohammad Wasim to be included in the side (tried and tested failures)

When some delusional fans are thinking that Afridi will be messiah in test cricket and Akhtar and Sami should come back in the team.

Regular keeper is "dropped" after 2 matches in three test match series

When "30 for 2" isn't a surprise

When your young pace bowler lasts longer than a proper batsman

When Sami gets selected

When you know a target of 150 is impossible

...when you leave a 50 average batsmen home and send a bowler with a 50 average by mistake

...when Ponting is rating Shoaib Malik

...when Katich is ripping through your middle order

...when your captain asks public not to expect miracles

I have seen people posting one day team on the first day of the first test match.

So far, the best one!!

:14: good one

When a 30 run (or 8-10 over) opening partnership is applauded as if a miracle happened

Because of Pak team performance, you have cut down bashing Indian team and its fans! :69:

:p

When the captain says that he is happy and satisfied with the team's performance after 0-3 drubbing, 16 dropped catches that cost 600+ runs in 3 test;

bringing in the 50 avergae bowler and leaving the 50 average batsmen was no mistaken my friend, i think you are mistaken !!!

IT WAS ALL TACTICAL !! :moyo

Does that not make shoaib Malik good if ponting is rating him ??

Saj has to start a thread like this
i prefer "Time Pass" over "Cricket"

When MoYo is selected as your country's captain and the 4th successive 3-0 drubbing dished out by Australia to Pakistan is inevitable rather than inconceivable!!!

...Imran Farhat sets the tone with a drop off a beach ball from the crowd in the first test.

...Abdur Rauf is at point.

...Your bowling coach is the best option as a 3rd seamer.

lol! Thats harsh you cant touch our bowling this series. Everything else is fair game though

if i'm not wrong Australia declared 4 out of 6 innings.

*waits for dropped catches and/or tactics reposte*

When I prefer "Cricket" to "Time Pass" just so that I can have a dig at the Pak Team

If our batsmen scored a few more runs, maybe Ponting would have thought twice about declaring on certain occasions.

You also have to take into consideration the dropped catches and defensive fields.

Not sure how many dropped catches there were in the series. 15 maybe?

..when you feel you have to tell everyone how many catches we dropped to try and justify to yourself that Pak are a better team than they are.

..When the missis asks why you're not watching the cricket anymore (after you stayed up watching the first 2 tests..)

...when referring to your captain and best batsman as MOFO seems perfectly apt.

your coach's age is equivalent to DOUBLE the teams cumulative age.[/

...when your team loses after having the aussies 127ao and 51-8 and yet no one cries match fixing. The realisation hits that the team is actually useless.

When you are keeping a low profile at work and home to not get mocked as a Pakistani cricket fan.

When Pakistani batsmen make Hauritz look like Warne.

When ex-players are asking for a fielding/bowling/batting/psychological/technical/fishing coach.

Still wouldn't have it any other way ... oh the joy of supporting this team! :40:

... the series has been so unanimously one sided that even cricinfo promotes the headlines "Cook to captain in Bangladesh tests" and "Botha picked for India tests" ahead of "Australia sweep to 3-0 series win".

... when some random geezer on PP thinks it's a good idea to have a 16 year old kid replace Danish Kaneria in the test line up.

:)) :)) :))

When Nathan Hauritz turns into Nathan Muralitharan

When you are rooting for ponting to score hundreds agai at your team just so he can pass tendulkar. :)

Good points but Sami was not part of the squad :Sami

When Salman Butt is our leading run scorer ... says something about our middle order.

- When a guy standing like playing Gulli Danda with an avg of 2 runs in his test career is the only hope you have and you are counting on him to draw the test.

- When Chacha of cricket is no longer coming to watch the cricket (after watching hundreds of meaningless games) and he is even embarrassed.

- You paid $50 to watch the test series but you turned your TV on only twice and switched to watch the golf game without Tiger Wood.

- You are praying for rain in Hobart, few thousand miles away from your home.

When you don't bother to watch the third test match. It happened to me for the first time that I didn't even watch a single delivery of Pakistan match. Just checked the score for a minute and learned this was expected, 4th consecutive whitewash.

When players like Farhat, Manzoor, Faisal, Sami and Misbah are in the team.

When Yousaf, players and the team management don't kow how to tackle last two wickets, they enter in the field as they have already lost the match.

When you drop dollies.

When you take 200 runs lead and still loose.

Crap captain and incompetent team management.

When all of the counrty is in huge mess due to ugly politics.

Gold. Nail in the coffin right there.

When you'd rather watch cartoons than Pakistan cricket but realize there both the same

When you didn't really care that they got hammered in the third test and Yousuf refuses to take any blame

You Know Things are Bad When.......

> When your Indian office colleagues stops bashing Pak team and ask you with with bewildered expressions 'whats happening with Pak team' :43:

> You wish Pak team doen’t play test series with Bangladesh or Zimbabwe in near future. You have this sinking feeling that it might result in a series loss for Pakistan.

> When you don’t renew your Channel subscription thinking why spend money waching these clowns.

> When on PakPassion you spend more time in ‘TimePass’ and less time in ‘Cricket’ forum

Sometimes, if you do not watch a day's play and put the telly on the following day you are in for a surprise.

Happened to me on SA's last tour to Aus (perth methinks?). I watched until our 7th wicket fell and I saw Steyn walking to the middle with SA more than 150 runs behind. He joned JP and the rest is well "folklore"!!!

I woke up, put on the telly (news) and saw that SA had taken a lead!!!!!!

1. No light at the end of the tunnel but rather deeper into the quagmire

2. No learning curve whatsoever

3. Players not taking individual resposibility for their game aka Imran Khan.

... When your captain claims his side did better than previous sides despite losing 3-0.

... When Shane Watson gets Man of the series with Nathan Hauritz in 2nd.

... When u drop your keeper for having 1 bad session in the last year.

... When your management hires 'fine leg specialist fielder' Waqar Younis as feilding coach.

... When your management hires a bowling coach despite your team suffering 1-2 batting collapses per test.

... When even Sarfraz Nawaz has had enough and is left with nothing to say.

when ur head of the cricket board looks like a chef in a daba hotel no knowledge of cricket

when the selectors are all those people who never got a proper run in the team when they where playing.

when ur players are relaying on each other that one of the batsmen will perform

when u have old horses in ur team where every one is stabbing each others back

when u have a team coach 0f 70 years old and he is just sleeping and yawning on the chair when team is losing or wining

what u excpect from the team miracles i dont think so we will see repeat performance like this in australia or any where pakistan team plays unless the board solve the real problems and do ssome work

You know when things are bad when even a poor west indies side put more of a fight against Australia then pakistan this summer.

When your Indian office colleagues stops bashing Pak team and ask you with with bewildered expressions 'whats happening with Pak team'

And this......... :)))

when during a Pakistan Australia test match, you're watching Bangladesh vs India to see if the ordinary team can kick the the number 1 test team's ass!

That's a good point, just looking at the Windies ODI squad for next month it looks pretty thin, but it was a similar type team that pushed OZ so close in their final test.

We missed :yk but Windies were without about 4-5 of their main players!

when you stop caring, and that's after having witnessed the T20 World Cup success in person at Lords just 7-8 months ago...

This series broke my heart...sniff...

When hurt and hope dissipates to be replaced by a sense of inevitability.

who told u WI are poorer ??? sorry but they were managed to draw the 2nd test against aussies.... and performed much better than pakistan in last 3 tests...

Agree with the one above, when you have a thief as your president.

Its the captain who didn't know how set field to these bowlers. and the fielders who didn't know how to catch a regulation catch.

..........er bowlers should be setting their own field. It up to the Captain whether to trust them or not.

Ajmal's sense of field placings was appalling but I guess he thinks in T20 mode.

When will pakistan crickters relise the only out standing cricket team Australia you need to raise your game to 10000% or more .............

12 successive defeats and counting....................
