For me it was haris sohail innings against south africa, in particular the six over point.

Didnt expect him to play like this.

Hope he can stay fit and continue to contribute for another couple of years at least if not till 2023.

Has to be the Harris Sohail six.

The audacity of a player largely unknown to neutral fans, bringing Pakistan right back in contention on the path to redemption.

It was arguably the shot of the tournament in terms of its importance and arguably the shot of the decade for Pakistan

For me was when Babar hit his 100 vs New Zealand, could tell how much it meant to him to finally win a match for Pakistan batting 2nd!

I loved Shaheens spell against New Zealand. I was at Edgbaston that day and it was unbelievable watching him steam in and finally find the right length. That spell really showed he belongs on the world stage.

Imad Wasim keeping a cool head and taking full advantage of Gulbadin’s over, which changed Pakistan’s fortunes against Afghanistan, when they were on the brink of an embarrassing defeat and humiliating exit from the World Cup, a week before the last game.

When Hafeez turned back the years and took the attack back to supposedly number 1 team in the WC

Harris' innings vs SA. It was good to watch and something rare coming from Pak batsman.

My 4 fav moments:

1. Babar hits a single to cover to bring up his century against NZ and the whole crowd erupts, he completes the run with his fist in the air. Dawn of a new era, a brave new Pakistan not afraid to chase.

2. Haris knows that Rabada is going to bowl a short bowl based on the field placement, even commentator is saying it. Rabada runs in, bowls a head high short ball with pace. Harry moves to the legside and cuts it all the way for six. Brilliant.

3. Last over of the match against Afghanistan, Imad slaps a bunt at cover and the cover fielder collects it and fires a throw at the non-striker but goes for an overthrow. Imad got in for the first run but has presence of mind to quickly run around and go back for the second, put in a desperate dive and makes it in the knick of time. The tenacity to not give up and get the strike back to win the match for Pak even though he was suffering from fatigue and cramps. The event was made better with Ian Bishop's commentary - "Imad gets there, Imad gets there".

4. Haris's one legged six straight down the ground to arguably one of the best bowlers in world cricket today Trent Boult. Audacity

In chronological order:

- Haris Sohail's innings vs SA

- Shaheen Shah's opening spell vs NZ

- Babar's 100 vs NZ

- Imad's calmness and Wahab's aggression in Afg match while chasing

- Shaheen's 6 fer vs BD making him the youngest bowler in WC history to take a 5fer

Babar's innings against NZ and the last 10 overs while bowling against England.

There are many but babar azams hundred and shaheen shahs bowling has been the highlight for Pakistan in this world cup.

Beautifuly described.

1)My favourite moment has to Babar's hundred. It just made me feel incredibly joyful and happy.
2)Shaheen's spell vs NZ was another standout and a breath of fresh air after our new ball bowling woes.
3)Imad vs Gulbadin and co was highly significant in that I desperately wanted Pakistan to defeat Afghanistan and after being on the verge of tears at the prospect of such a humiliating loss it was a spectacular turn around.
4)Wahab's fearless knock vs Aus and Afghanistan while he also had an injured finger in the latter was highly commendable and a major highlight of Pakistan's tournament to me.Still cant forget that six vs Afghanistan.Made the equation so much more easier.
5)Hassan Ali being dropped was also quite a joyful occasion.

Haris Sohails Innings against South Africa

Shaheens Yorker to Mahmudullah

Haris Sohail's innings against SA. The audacity with which he batted made everyone wonder what was he doing warming the bench before that match. Brilliant knock, he is a star.

Babar Azam 100 vs NZ. The day that convinced me Babar Azam has a chance of reaching the elite batters in world cricket. Will also be the day that the mentality and perception towards him changes. People now expect him to deliver.

The Babar - Haris partnership PAK chasing in a must win game and the ball eas turning big time.

Just a treat to watch how they went about the chase. The best part was that the moment the rrr went above 6 they shifted gears quickly and took control.

This WC really feel like unfinished business...

The wicket of Jos Buttler in that England game - the crowd erupted like we won the World Cup. A terrific result to break our long winless run against the home favourites.

Haris Sohail's six over point vs South Africa.

The winning runs in that tense runchase vs Afghanistan, again the atmosphere was incredible.

The end of the pak afghan game, I will never forget being there. So tense, nervous, thrilling finish!

Hafeez’s 81 against England.

Babar’s cover drives against Cummins.

Haris Sohail’s innings against SA.

Shaheen’s spell against New Zealand.

Babar’s century against New Zealand.

Shaheen’s first over against Afghanistan.

Imad’s innings against Afghanistan.

Babar’s innings against Bangladesh.

Shaheen’s 6-for against Bangladesh.

Haaris in beast mode vs SA.

Will never forget the feeling of watching my first game at Lord's in a sea of green and Haaris taking on one of the best bowlers in the world! An unreal experience all down to incredible Pakistan fans in the UK!

Shaheen's spell against NZ. To be honest that whole match was amazing, so happy I was able to witness it. I didn't even set an alarm, just naturally woke up at 6:20 AM and couldn't resist. Gods plan:ma

Babar's cover drives against AUS. Rare to see Aussies rattled

Babar's second sweep shot against Santner. His bravest shot in the whole tournament.

Wish he swept Kuldeep like that as well.

Haris' 6 over point :hs

Probably Shaheen going through New Zealand! That was my favorite spell from a Pakistani bowler in this tournament. Other than that, I enjoyed Professor beating up England and Harris Sohail beating up on SA!

For the split second moment itself, Babar cover drive off Cummins
For the future of our batting, the haris Babar partnership Vs NZ

lets not get carried away please.

shot of the decade was shahid afridi six over ashwin

babar azam single to get 100.

the moment where he showed that he could play a matchwinning innings. probably improtant for pakistan, but more important for him.

When Bobby got his hundred and the stadium erupted. Was a moment to remember. So happy I went to see Pakistan play in a World Cup in a must win game and ofc a win.

A star was born when Shaheen took 6 cheap wickets .
Did we watch the same match? how was tamim's wicket cheap? he completely out foxed him with a slow ball.

mahmudullah is a not a tail end player...he yorked him.

those come to mind. it was anything BUT cheap.

In cricket terminology cheap wickets are wickets taken by a bowler at low average and strike rate and its good thing. You want your bowler to take cheap wickets and certainly not expensive wickets by conceding too many runs with high average and SR.

Lol! You used that term wrong.

Tailenders are considered cheap wickets.

Lots of highlights, but nobody has mentioned Amir’s spell of 5 for 30 against Australia. It was very impressive.

I don't rate Shadab Khan as a bowler but his wicket of Joe Root was the turning point in that match.

It's easy to mention the best performances, but if we're talking about specific moments that filled me with pride:

Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali's wickets
Amir's bowling in the second half of Australia's innings
Hassan and Wahab's never-say-never hitting against the Aussies
Shadab snagging Williamson
Haris's six against Santner
Wahab's six against Rashid
Shaheen knocking over stumps multiple times against BAN

Imad and Wahab's innings against Afghanistan. Bezati se bacha liya.

Everything in SA game was sublime and I saw it in the ground
1. After ages Mohd Amir bowled with venom
2. Haris playing with freedom like Inzi in WC92
3. Shadab 3 wickets marking his return to form
4. Wahab's aggression and passionate bowling.

Agree, we looked dead and out of the wc!
Imad came to our rescue and won us the game to keep our hopes alive!
I was so pumped after this game, i really thoght we would go on to win the cup!!😢

Has to be the 2 back to back slog sweep boundaries Babar hit against Santner in the game against New Zealand. It really settled the nerves that were there in that game.

There will be bias for me as I was at the SA game and the NZ game so those moments will probably rank higher. From the SA game, it has to be Haris Sohail's innings, that was a superb innings and the crowd was very excited.

From the NZ game, Amir's 1st ball wicket was crazy, we were all chanting "amir amir amir" and he took a wicket first ball. Shaheen's spell was also amazing, the roar he got when he went back to his fielding position after an over in which he took a wicket could be heard around the ground. Also the century moment for Azam of course.

For all the games I watched on TV, I would have to say the win against England, when Amir got Buttler that was insane, I was at work for the 2nd half of the chase and me and everyone I was working with was following the game very closely. That was a great win against an England side in great form who looked unbeatable. Also that lost over against Afghanistan was crazy, I screamed so loud my voice was hurting.

What I loved about that innings was Imad's resilience. Most players would have given up, if they were struggling to pick the spinners out of the hand like he was that day, but he did not get flustered and nor did he give up.

When our indomitable Green Shirts got both Kholi and Sharma out in short order which no other team did so as efficiently in this entire World Cup 2019!

So many positives alhumdulilah. Biggest is that we are entering a new generation of Pakistan cricket, led by Babar and Shaheen. And they proved to us that they are improving to become one of the best players in the world.

Not necessarily favourite, but a memorable moment for me was Hafeez getting out for 27 v Bangladesh and walking back to the pavilion looking bitterly disappointed as the crowds rose and looked in admiration at this wonderful batsman - it reminded me of Javed Miandad getting out and walking back to the pavilion in the QF of World Cup 1996, his last outing.

Of course in Miandad’s case it was indeed his last innings, but the optimist in me thinks Hafeez might yet be around to entertain his fans with his splendid batting for another World Cup.

Definitely the Imad Wasim spectacle against Afghanistan. Since I was watching the match at the stadium, I enjoyed it even more. The atmosphere was so tense and it looked like Pakistan were going to lose before Imad smashed the afghani captain for 14 runs in the over (IIRC)... definitely my highlight as it was a must win game to keep our semi final hopes alive...

It was also good to silence the Afghani fans after their antics throughout the day. A lot of fights and arguments happened that day and it seemed like the Afghans were looking for trouble. A large group of them (20 plus) even jumped over the entry gates to watch the match without paying... luckily most of them got arrested.

So far Boult getting Kohli out today but hopefully by the end of the day NZ’s win today

Lol. Nope. Wrong. See above explanation by snowflake for clarification.

Having been at the Pak vs NZ match - it was definitely Babar’s 100. That was a cracking game and at times quite tense. Quality innings on a difficult track where Santner was getting prodigious turn.
