I prefer playing a 3-3-4. Feed the running machines on the counter with precision passing from mid-field.

CF - Maradona
AMF - Messi
LWF - CR7
RWF - Ronaldinho
CM - Zidane
CM - Pirlo
RB - Roberto Carlos
LB - Botaeng
CB - Maldini
CB - Lahm
GK - Buffon

Neuer
Cafu
Moore
Beckehnbauer
Maldini
Cryuff
Iniesta/Ronaldinhio
Zidane
Maradonna
Pele
Messi

Only based on players I watched properly, might have forgotten some obvious ones as I'm getting old

Buffon
Cafu
Desailly
Maldini
Roberto Carlos
Iniesta
Xavi
Zidane
Messi
Ronaldo
CR7

No defensive midfielder BUT with that defence I'd get away with it.

That’s an amazing lineup.

My favourite formation is 4231; because this is the most versatile formation, and it can be converted into 433 or 4411 or 442 diamond formation without changing too many players.

This is international soccer based team (mostly on WC & EURO/Copa performance) with the 2nd XI in bracket.

GK: 1. Buffon (22. Yashin)
Wing backs : 2. Thuram, 3. Maldini (15. Kafu, 16. Giochinto Fachhetti)
CB: 4. Beckenbauer, 5. Canevaro (12. Pasarella, 13. Moore)

DM/CM: 8. Zidane, 6. Lothar Matthäus (17. Didi, 18. Xavi)

Wide midfielders: 7. Cruiff, 11. Ronaldinho (19. Garincha, 20. Puscas)
No. 10: Maradona (14. Platini)
No. 9 : Pele (21. Fat Ronaldo)
