YouTube can now terminate anyone they deem "not commercially viable" under their new clause

"Terminations by YouTube for Service Changes

YouTube may terminate your access, or your Google account’s access to all or part of the Service if YouTube believes, in its sole discretion, that provision of the Service to you is no longer commercially viable. "

This is massive. YouTube is updating their terms of service on December 10 and they'll start banning people for using ad blocking extensions. You can also potentially lose your access to your Gmail account that you've been using for years. What the hell?

Google also banned hundreds of people off Gmail recently for 'posting too many emojis' on a gaming live stream. Unbelievable. Good luck trying to reset your forgotten passwords if they kick you off Gmail.

What does this mean? What are the implications for people on average?

You'll potentially lose access to all of Google's services (such as Calendar, Drive, Gmail, Maps and so on) for using an ad blocker, because Google generates most of their revenue from ads. The Gmail account that you have been using for over a decade? Yeah, it's gone. Forget about it.

But their wording is very vague; their is a massive difference between can and will. Just because Google can restrict your access to their services, doesn't mean they will. We just have to wait and watch.

Hopefully that makes sense?

People make fun of Apple for being greedy and here we have Google pulling crap like this. I can never see Apple doing something akin to this.
