Sharjeel need to be given a chance with Babar at 4.
They can’t afford to be playing this sort of team with no planning and tail enders starting after no 4. Rizwan has done well as make shift opener but you can’t have two accumulators in the top 3 in t20is. Plus if Rizwan is at 6 it gives some stability in the middle order which has been very fragile. If Sharjeel and Fakhar can go bang bang from the start and make use of the powerplay it’ll take pressure of the rest of the batting line up and even if they lose a quick one Babar and Hafeez can carry through the innings.
Ideal XI should be

Rizwan
Faheem
Nawaz / Imad
Hasnain / Hasan(full strength)
Qadir / Shaheen(full strength)

After this series for full strength I’d bring in Hasan ali for Hasnain and Shaheen instead of Nawaz or Qadir.
Qadir is a bit hit and miss so he needs to prove his worth against top sides. He’s only performed against Zimbabwe so far and was getting tonked around by South Africa B. Nawaz has been average at best and extremely poor with the bat, we need Imad back asap who is much better and is actually an “all rounder” unlike nawaz who is more like a no 11.
Haider ali needs to learn that he can’t just hit a few boundaries sky the ball and leave. This is international cricket not gully cricket. They should bring Azam khan into the squad and try him out.
As much as I hate to say it Pakistan desperately need Malik back atleast in the squad. They’ve tried and tested so many players in the middle order (Asif ali, Ifthikar, Khusdil, talat, danish) and all of them have failed badly after countless chances even against poor teams. So I expect Azam khan and Malik back in the squad for the next series.

Haider needs to go back into the domestics. No need for any more game time - even if he scores a 50 in the next game, his basics are all over the place.

Yep, he's not a 4 or 5 player. Best utilisation of Rizwan is opening.
Yea, keep saying Haider is not ready and will most likely fail in the World Cup. Best thing is to go back to domestic.
Sharjeel i would like to see back but i was unhappy myself with his fitness. Luckily for Pakistan is that our test team is more settled.
Might as well give the lad these last few games.

put sharjeel in the middle order, why change one of the only combinations that is actually working for Pak. Sharjeel needs some innings of substance before you can even think of moving him up the order.

It's a problem because you can't really hide your best batsman (and one of the best in the world in this format) down at 4 in a 20 over match.
I agree Sharjeel needs to come in but it should perhaps be Fakhar who moves to 4 and Hafeez at 5.
That's true but i'd just like to trial him either open with Rizwan or Babar but preferably Rizwan given his recent form.
Yes, i think down the order Sharjeel will be terrible especially in the case you need to run 1s & 2s.
I hope they rest Faheem for Wasim Jr.
I would like to see them try Sharjeel at the 6th spot. Maybe he can be the finisher they require at a lower spot. I'd still like to see Haider Ali continue to get more opportunities and leave him at the 5th spot.

No he should open or bat at three if he has to play and il move fakhar down the order.but for me only fakhar should play sharjeel should get a chance thou.
Exactly they should rest fakhar and play sharjeel.fakhar has already cemented his position for world Cup.but I would like to give sharjeel a chance.

Like I said considering him playing will be exercise lol.
Zimbabwe on the other hand are even weaker Craig Ervine gone and Sikander Raza out of the tour (most likely) due to recovering from a bone marrow infection (not cancerous) and so may Allah give him a swift recovery.
Zimbabwe used to have that leggie Graeme Cremer and he’s disappeared off the face of the planet, such a good player.

Give Aziz a few chances in this series, he can’t be worse than Asif Ali. A handful of performances is not enough to throw someone to the kerb.

Hope Babar moves down and we open last two games with fakhar and sharjeel.

Right from his selection in England tour Haider was ready, he was made to bat at position 1-6 now and he looks like so confused out there , not knowing what his role is. Misbah has successfully destroyed him now for atleast 2 years to be away from the national team , the next will Abdullah Shafique and then Saud Shakeel. Mission accomplished for Misbah so that he can play his buddies Asif Ali’s and Ifthikar chachu without any one questioning their inclusion.
It is not new to me , mIsbah and Waqar have always shuffled the batting order and letting batsmen not know their role. Remember they pushed Maqsood from no.3 to no.7. He has batted from no.1 to no.7.
No batsman would want to change their batting position , but they are being threatened to say so in front of the media as if wherever the team wants him to play.
We have seen in the past , players who refuse to change their batting position, had a better and long career than the ones who shifted all around 1-6 and never get a career run going at all. Misbah is just doing what he did to Maqsood.

opening obsession of sharjeel and Fakhar will soon end ruinous for pak cricket, we will never ever learn recycle again same trash like asif,khusdil,ahmed,ifti,khurram,umar,shaan and abid without respective domestic performances
