Faiza Nawaz, a police constable who was ‘violently slapped’ by a lawyer last week, on Sunday announced her resignation in a video message, saying she was disillusioned with her own department for its failure to stand by her.

In a statement, Constable Faiza Nawaz said she was “really really fed up with this unjust, tyrannical, and cruel system, therefore I’m resigning from my service”.

She said: “I can’t face the powerful world mafia [alone].”

She also expressed regret over what she described as the “complicity of her own colleagues [with the accused]” in filling a “legally flawed First Information Report (FIR)”.

She also said that she was very disturbed by the Ferozawala lawyer fraternity’s show of support for the advocate who assaulted her. Adding that she had become disillusioned with “the system” and did not believe that justice would be served.

“I’m fed up with this system, I don’t understand whether I should commit suicide or die, I’m really, mentally depressed because I’m worried about my respect [and] future,” she said.

“I can’t see myself getting justice in this case… lawyers supportive of their colleague are engaging in my character assassination,” Faiza said in the statement, indicating that the report filed against Mukhtar was “weakened by the people of my own department”.

“I felt honoured to join the department police and be in this job because I wanted to serve the people and get justice for women. However, I’m saddened that I still did not get any justice,” she went on to add.

The video came a day after accused Ahmed Mukhtar was released on bail owing to his name being misspelt in the FIR. He was accused of “violently slapping” the constable after she told him to not park his car at a checkpoint.

Social activist Farzana Bari said that it was not only Constable Nawaz but the working woman of this country who had been dealt a slap on her face.

Advocate Ahmed Mukhtar, on the other hand, has refuted Constable Faiza’s claim of him having slapped her. He said that he was deliberately being implicated in a case he had nothing to do with.

Yeah we miss the times of the Nooras where Punjab Police killed 14 in broad day light at Model Town for peaceful protest. Or the times of Bhutto worshippers when Raymond Davis killed two people and was allowed to exit with state honour.

Banayga naya Pakistan, leken Bhutto kay pujaariyon ke liyay nahi.

What's the connection between this news and Imran Khan?

Besides, you can't expect a country to change in one year, can you? As the famous quote goes: "Rome wasn't built in a day".

My employee forgot to bring raita with Biryani, why doesn't Imran intervene?

In PP, if modi is blamed for some remote incident in remote corner of a country, then by the same logic, why one shouldn't blame Imran for not taking any steps?

Must say, PTI supporters have reached new level of hypocrisy.

Maybe cos he's busy sorting out the mess Zardari left behind.

Why doesn't Zardari intervene? Oh yea I forgot, he's in jail where he belongs for being a corrupt criminal.

Zardari is not the prime minister nor does zardari uses such cases to contest election.

Thing is, PTI was using ever such incident suring the election build up. They did their campaigne on such incidents..infact they even tried telling the awaam that petrol prices fell because of them.

A lawyer slaps a police women and gets away because in the fir the wrong name was written on purpose. Than they shift this lady to another city.

Than dont use such incidence to campaigne your election.

So for any success, Imran can claim as his own.

For any mishaps, PTI supporters can blame ppp.

Sounds reasonable.

As expected for Modi fans to show their maturity level and obsession with Pakistan and Pakistani

But let me break it down for you.

Modi ran a politics of sectarianism, anti-Pakistani, anti-Muslim, which let the ordinary citizens of India, predominately Hindu, that they are about to reclaim Hindu India of pre-invasion of India by Mughals and Muslims, which let some general population to commit crimes against humanity and those crimes were either ignored or over looked by people like you and other Indian citizens with an excuse of that number is too small or any other excuse.

Do you the difference? if not then continue to call everyone hypocrite if that makes you feel better about yourself.

Where did I mention anything about Muslim or Pakistan?

I just mentioned an x, y, z remote incident which can happen to any person irrespective of religion or community.

This is what brain washing does. Your brain goes automatically to a default mode where every word that are spoken, you will put it on your own agenda.

Indians not supporting Imran Khan really shows that Khan is the right person to lead Pakistan.

Dont forget the kidnapping of kids and rape a kid before 2018 elections under Showbaz.

Wow. Amazing.

Modi is blamed for sectarian violence against minority and rightly so because of his political and religious agenda.

Modi isn’t blame for police officer misbehaving with a female.

See the difference ?
