Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has taken a jibe at the scions of Bhutto and Sharif families, saying that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz were “political infants” incapable of ruling the country.

“Both [Bilawal and Maryam] do not have political stature to lead the country… Bilawal should first contest election of Karachi’s mayor and likewise Maryam needs to run for Lahore’s mayor,” he said while addressing the media in Punjab’s Jhelum on Saturday.

The information minister was of the view that the alliance of all opposition parties of the country could not politically defeat Prime Minister Imran Khan. “All opposition parties including PPP, PML-N, JUI-F and others faced defeat in Senate yesterday where they had a majority,” said Fawad while referring to the passage of SBP bill in opposition-dominated upper house of the parliament.

“This is a great country and those who are presenting themselves to lead the country are dwarfs,” he remarked.

He also urged Bilawal and Maryam to first work as common political worker in their own party ranks and let the other senior leaders to lead. “We have a democracy and monarchy, so they both [Maryam and Bilawal] should vacate their positions for the senior leadership,” he added.

“I am happy to know that the debate has started in PML-N that Sharif family should be replaced and other leaders should be given a chance to lead the party,” the minister remarked.

Speaking about recent rise in terrorist incidents in the country, Fawad reiterated government's resolve to eliminate all type of extremist elements in the country to ensure durable peace.

He said with the support of nation, our security institutions were ready to root out any separatist groups from the country.

Any kind of extremism including religious extremism is condemnable and media should play its positive role in this regard, he added.

The minister said Prime Minister Imran’s upcoming visit to China will help strengthen economic ties with the friendly and time-tested country. He said two more foreign visits of the premier are scheduled during the current year which will improve Pakistan's significance at international fora.

Despite various challenges, country’s economy is on right track and current year will bring more good news on economic front, Fawad insisted.

Does anyone seriously believe that Billo and Maryam could lead a nation of 220mn. A convict with most of the family on the run and guy with no cajones to call out his own families criminality

The sad thing is that while he is correct, he also has no business being a minister in Pakistan.

So you don't want him as Minister, but you don't give an alternative.

someone young dynamic and capable. The fact that i can't name someone is a indictment of the political system in Pakistan.

He treats politics as if he is a franchise cricketer. Moves around from year to year.

This guy wouldn't even make it as a community councillor in the UK.

Apart from IK and a handful of other politicians not a single person in parliament would be even fit to run for village councils anywhere in the west

PMs like Imran and FMs like Fawad “Pakistan sent Hubble telescope to space” Chaudry has the set the bar so low that anyone can prove to be improvements on them.

Neither Maryam nor Bilawal can be worse than the worst and the least prepared PM in Pakistan’s history.

It's a system based around dynasties and idiots that support them. In that circumstance you do your best to go as far as possible

The worst PM has achieved 5.5% growth( 2nd highest in the last 14 years) , record exports( during a pandemic), record remittances, record tax collection( 6 trillion), environmental renewal( billion trees), free health insurance( in all provinces under his control) to name a just a few. Just imagine what he could do if he was competent. Suck it loser.

Just textile exports set to cross TOTAL exports under PML-N. Quite an achievement for 'worst PM in history'. I wonder what IK would have achieved if he wasn't 'incompetent'.

Imran has destroyed Pakistan’s economy, destroyed the middle and lower-class by imposing the highest rate of inflation the country has ever seen, he has corrupted the minds of the youth with constant lies and propaganda, he has revived extremism by empowering the right wing and destroyed Pakistan‘s global image by patronizing and openly supporting a terrorist organization in Afghanistan.

No PM caused so much damage.

Destroyed the economy with 5.5 growth, record exports, record remittances, record tax collection and for the 1st time in recent times a serious attempt to tackle structural issues. The lower Middle class have taken a hit but that's due to inflation and inflation has lots of reasons, the one at the moment is international commodity and oil prices. Unless Maryam and Billo can muster up some oil from their rears it ain't going away. And why don't you ask yourself why the currency stayed so overvalued for so long and did so much damage to PK economy. Its not rocket science and we have paid an enormous price for the stupidity of Nooranomics..
But ask these questions of you is akin to asking a monkey if he speaks Japanese. You were the guy that couldn't explain how a valuation of currency is reached. So give it a rest

It's quite ironic that you mention empowering the right wing . I can remember some idiot supporting Diesel just over a year ago, do you have any idea who it was:qdkcheeky

Billoo claiming Sehat card is PPP initiative stolen by PTI lol, yet Sindh where PPP are in government for last 15 years is the only province that does not have this facility.

This is the person that people like Major think is fit to lead the country

If IK is elected in next election then Billo career as a politician will remain to be senator or whatever he claim to be now a days, never will become PM.
