“Taking the game deep”; Why is it such a loved tactic?

Rizwan's side have the fewest wickets lost in PP, but 4th highest run rate.

Interestingly, top of the table Lahore have the lowest PP run rate and high wickets lost.

Lahore lose 4 wickets in the powerplay again as their chasing struggles continues. Maybe they should try taking the game deep...

Absolutely pathetic innings from Fakhar. Some batsman are only obsessed with opening the batting and all they do is just anchoring in the garb of building the innings. They always kills the power play, and when they accelerate they throw their wicket and all this selfishness adds unnecessary pressure on middle order. If you ask these anchors to play at number 3-5 they will refuse. This culture of anchoring in T20 must be condemned whoever the player is.

Zaheer Khan's insight on why India lost the 3rd ODI against Aus-

"For the larger part of the chase, India was controlling. I think it (was) just KL Rahul's wicket at that stage was maybe the start of the turning point because that is when Axar (Patel) walked in, then he got run out. Then Hardik (Pandya) and Virat (Kohli) tried to steady the ship again, which put pressure on Virat as well. He had to again change the gear and then look to consolidate. We did mention that (on) Chennai kind of a pitch, one wicket can bring two and that really adds the pressure,"

"You got to push the game as deep as possible. That is something which was missing. There was some anxiety. Maybe it was just creating that move on a tad early maybe because just before KL Rahul got out, he was starting to play big shots forcefully"
