International Pakistani cricketers will play in the upcoming Kashmir Super League, according to the league’s chairman Masood Khan.

Masood Khan held a press conference in which he said that the league will be played from April 28 to May 2 in Muzaffarabad. He said that 12 Pakistani international cricketers had agreed to play in the league and talks were being held with others.

“Mohammad Irfan, Aamer Yamin, Rahat Ali, Zulfiqar Babar, Agha Salman and others have agreed to play in the league,” he said.

Masood said that six teams in total will take part in the tournament. These teams are Muzaffarabad Qalandars, Kotli Lines, Mirpur Tigers, Rawalakot Warriors, Bagh-e-Badshah and MK Kings.

Organisers of the Kashmir Super League said that since the tournament was being played in an independent state, a permit from the PCB was not a requirement.

On the other hand, the PCB spokesperson said Pakistani cricketers will not be allowed to play in Kashmir Super League without a NOC.

The PCB spokesperson said that the board had not received a NOC request for the Kashmir Super League.

But in all honesty, if we are to add another team to the PSL it has to be a Kashmir side. That is the only part of the country that is unrepresented in PSL as of now.

MUZAFFARABAD: Following immense success of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), another home-grown cricket league Kashmir Super League, though not initiated by the Pakistan Cricket Board, is set to roll into action at the end of this month.

The league will commence from April 28 in Muzaffarabad. According to reports, six teams would participate in the KSL Twenty20 Championship 2018 at Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium from April 28 to May 12. The six teams are: Muzaffarabad Qalandars, Bagh Badshah, Kotli Lions, Rawalkot Warriors, Mirpur Tigers and MK Fighters, said KSL chairman Masood Ahmed Khan. He said the organizers have roped in at least 12 Pakistan players for the league.

“Each team will have services of four national players, while we have sent a written request to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for grant of NOC through Kashmir Cricket Association (KCA).

According to Khan, league organizers have signed some 12 mainstream Pakistani cricketers including Mohammad Irfan, Rahat Ali, Zulfiqar Babar, Aamer Yamin, Gulraiz Sadaf and Agha Suleman.

The drafting of the players will be held on April 17.

The KSL chairman further said that the winners of the KSL title will get Rs2 million cash alongside the KSL trophy, while runners-up will be awarded Rs1 million.

Meanwhile, as per reports Pakistani cricketers will only allowed to play in Kashmir Super League after a no-objection certificate is issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

They are calling themselves an independent state. How can PCB add a team from an independent state who doesn't even need
a permit from PCB to start their own Kashimiri Seb League?

PCB should not act as stumbling block and allow players who are not on nationaly duty to take part in tournaments which is good for the country. PCB disallowed players from taking part in a recent Karachi League also. Hope President of AJK Masood Khan prepares well beforehand.

Independent here probably means autonomous to hold their own tournaments.

Kashmir premier league 2018

I think it's a great initiative.PCB should support it.AJK govt. Should make the mujaffarabad stadium a upgraded floodlighted international stadium...
Your idea please...

Mashallah, great gesture from PCB - they have the biggest heart.

The day I can save some money, I wish to launch my own T20 league in my neighborhood park and ask for PCB's support - they'll definitely send PAK national players in a "revenue sharing" model.

Hang fire, the Pakistan Cup is due to start later this month so some of these players may not get NOCs.

The players are a commodity...does BCB not get any % of the of the players contracts form T20 leagues??Or is this revenue sharing model exclusive to PCB?

I am not talking about revenue sharing, I am talking about "revenue sharing".
