90s Zimbabwe beat India and won TWICE against so-called legendary Pak team of 90s.
Heath Streak, Neil Johnson, Henry Olonga in one team itself! You dont want to mess with them. Flower brothers, Andrew campbell that is some serious power. 90's was such a strong era that we took this zimbabwe team as minnows.
Without meaning to be rude, the Bangladesh of today, on paper, is no match for this Zimbabwe team.
It's alaistar Campbell.. Heath streak, Neil Johnson and Henry olonga were not some great players they were pretty decent players. You are making them sound like they were something else.. Infact I would say eddo brandes was a better bowler than all three.. Neil Johnson was a good all rounder though..
They had Andy flower who is arguably a top 3 best wicket keeper ever atleast in tests... 90's Zimbabwe team was better than BD IMO as well but the gap isn't as big as you are trying to make it to be..
Actually Paul Strang can become the leading spinner. Adrew Whittal and Traicos were not slouches either. Brandes, Streak, Jhonson and Olonga is a good fast attack.N johnson

The fast bowlers are pretty decent bowlers. Just because they have four fast men, a medium pacer and two spinners allows them to bowl high intensity spells. Olonga, when clicked, was a handful.Bangladesh still wins. Zimbabwe relies on 2-3 players, plus terrible bowling.
Kindly revisit some of the videos if they are available online of the 90's Zimbabwe team. I have no intention of making anyone bigger. You on the other hand, seem to be ignorant!
Well, they beat the strongest Pakistan side of the 90's in Test, in Pakistan itself!
I have been watching cricket since 1992 WC and I have followed Zimbabwe, Kenya, BD etc throughout 90's so I know what I am seeing and don't need to rely on old footage online since I followed them.. I am not saying they were a bad team but the way you posted it seemed to me like you were saying players like olonga, Heath streak, Johnson were some ATG players.. They were decent players only ATG was Andy flower and the rest of them were decent players so it made a pretty good team.. BD today can still beat them 3 out of 10 times in favourable conditions though Andy flower was one of the best players of spin so he will neutralise BD favouring conditions..
Ok son... I have been watching since 1981. I have followed Zimbabwe and the other teams too, pretty well. Nowhere did I mention they are ATG, maybe its about time you go to an optician or just work on your comprehension skills!
Zimbabwe of the 90's definitely were a stronger team and a pretty good team. They were a pretty good side right till the early 2000's.
Zimbabwe will beat Bangladsh in all tests, 3-0. Bangladesh will win ODIs by 3-2.
Current BD team can only dream of achieving sumthng near to Zimb team of 90s

Current Bangladesh team will thrash 90s zimbos in limited over cricket. But yes, in tests 90s zimbabwe will win against bangla quite easily.
Winning a test series against a premier team in der home conditions which are nthng but alien conditions for zimboks was a massive achievement...on the other hand bd team struggling to win a test forget abt series even in their home country...I believe test crckt is the ultimate form of crckt and the fact dat zimb test team was twice as good as current bd team confirms der achievement..What did the mighty zimbos achieved in 90s barring a test series win against Pakistan? They were a rubbish odi team.
Adding further..u cant compare odis of t20 era to the odis of 90s...u never know wat dat zimb team would have achieved in dis generation of flat tracks nd heavy batsWinning a test series against a premier team in der home conditions which are nthng but alien conditions for zimboks was a massive achievement...on the other hand bd team struggling to win a test forget abt series even in their home country...I believe test crckt is the ultimate form of crckt and the fact dat zimb test team was twice as good as current bd team confirms der achievement..
Bangladesh don't even have a chance. Zimbabwe of the 90's had the ability to be an ATG team. Flowers and Streak were just too good.
exactly, they defeated both newzealand and south africa in 1999 WC group stage

90s bangla who didn't even properly know what is cricket back then beat finalist Pakistan in 1999 WC. This types of one or two victory doesn't mean much.exactly, they defeated both newzealand and south africa in 1999 WC group stage

I think you have some issues in comprehension.Mighty Olonga averages 38 and 35 with the ball in tests and odis respectively. God knows what would've happened to those numbers if he had played in today's batting friendly era
Even half fit mashrafe is 10 times better than Olonga ever was![]()
Zim tips it because they had fighters in their team, men with grit. Flower brothers, Campbell, Heath Streak.....whenever their backs where against the wall these guys dont give up without a fight.
Thats what Bangladesh lack now, Shakib is way past his best, maybe Mushfiqur is one with some guts. The rest look like they easily fold over.
