2009 Australia A v Pakistan A [ODI] - 2nd Match

Hafeez is hogging the strike and slowing the game down, he's playing like it's 2003 and he's facing Pollock and Ntini all over again!

Naurus ki break kay baad Pakistan attacking. 3 singles off McKary bowling
They do know they can always call for a drink if they feel weak and don't want to hit and run.

Over 17.4: Henriques to Ghani, SIX, wow that's gone!! Ghani stands and delivers a booming drive back over the bowlers head

cause of worry for Pakistan. only one wide so far. They need to redo the calculation they did after Pakistan's net practice. Australia 'A' being unsporting???

aur yeh chakkkkaaaaa :125:
big over for Pakistan - 7 runs

Ghani walks in and glides one off the first ball for a single. this lad is in some form

What did I say, Ghani smaccks that for 6.

That's what I like about these 3 guys. Umer, Ghani and Sarfaraz. They're playing no fear cricket!

If we can put up 250+ then I back our bowlers to defend that.

All we have to do is win this game and we've won the ODI series.

Are you really in Pakistan? Did you go for the halwa puri and channa type thing breakfast this morning?

Over 19.3: Henriques to Ghani, no run, OUT, big swing and he's out, caught behind! Went looking for the gap at midwicket, went very hard, but has edged through to Paine. PAK 3/61

Ghani probably got the Halwa Puri message and is out ct behind
Pak 61-3 after 19.3 overs

Ohh would love that. had enough of the medical books so decided to turn my attention to cricket tonight.Medical profession sometimes gives you insomnia.

Over 20.4: McKay to Umar Akmal, FOUR, my word...Akmal picks up where he left off by lining up McKay and belting the ball back flat over mid on.

Umar Akmal is in Bashiriya form. takes couple of doubles and two ball later a four. 8 off 6 balls for him

from last over commentary
Akmal smashed 104 runs off 70 balls on Friday, including plenty of fours and about five sixes from memory. Put on a real show

ab zindagi guzar jayegi araam kay saath:
either an ad for bed foam, PCB heads or Pakistan senior players

Pak 70-3 after 21 overs
Hafeez has slowed down. 39 off 61 and he was in 30s about 20 minutes ago

Over 23.4: Henriques to Hafeez, FOUR, edges straight to where White has vacated 1st slip and it's run away to the boundary

Is Hafeez doing something on the field? Like talking to the batsmen? Now Akmal has gone into a shell.
From no where Hafeez hits a four :double0sm
moves to 48 off 68 balls

Over 24.3: Bollinger to Umar Akmal, no run, OUT, and Bollinger gets the big wicket, Akmal on his way. Looking to drive, got it well but straight to Henriques at mid off. PAK 4/82

Over 26.4: Bollinger to Iqbal, FOUR, full ball clipped away nicely through backward square leg

Over 26.5: Bollinger to Iqbal, no run, OUT, drives, edges and well caught by Ferguson at backward point. The ball went quickly and Ferguson took the sharp catch just above his left shoulder. Bit of trouble now for the batting team, PAK 5/90

Akmal loss was a tragedy. But now the unknown bhaloo Fahad Iqbal is in. He is going nicely with 6 off 9 balls

and Fahad Iqbal is out.

We need atleast 220+ to let our bowlers to defend it.

that is not a good test for bowlers and the team. I think they have set a target of 147

Hafeez 56 not out - must be a reaction to his sacking of the captain of Pakistan A to Sri Lanka.

330 in the 1st ODI, 90-5 in 2nd ODI. "A" team is keeping the tradition, of its senior team of being unpredictable, alive and well.

Need to bat out these remaining 17 overs and at least post a total around 220 runs

2009-07-12 11 : 25 : 13 Over 31.2: Holland to Ahmed, SIX, big shot from Ahmed down on his knee and slog sweeping a long way into the crowd under the Stuart Law Grandstand.

Did anybody say Sarfraz can't hit sixes?

Over 36.5: McKay to Hafeez, no run, OUT, and Hafeez has tried the shot again but got an edge to Paine. End of an important innings, good reward for McKay. PAK 6/139

Mohammad Hafeez - c:paine b:McKay 74 (105 balls, 163 minutes). FOW 6/139 (36.5), 6th wicket partnership (Hafeez/Ahmed) of 49 runs. The new batsman is Abdur Rehman

Over 39.4: Holland to Ahmed, SIX, oh that's gone miles!! Ahmed again on the slog sweep and it's hit the roof of the Stuart Law Grandstand at deep midwicket.

Over 40.6: Henriques to Ahmed, FOUR, cuts and edges it away wide of Paine to the fence

Last three overs (40, 41 & 42) - 22 runs.

Over 42.4: Henriques to Ahmed, no run, OUT, slaps a square drive away in the air but he's hit it too well...straight down to Bailey running around from deep cover. Big wicket, PAK 7/166

Over 43.2: Geeves to Masood, FOUR, cuts away high over backward point and down to the boundary

Over 44.4: Bollinger to Rehman, FOUR, cuts away over gully and down to the boundary

Over 44.6: Bollinger to Rehman, FOUR, clipped away nicely through wide mid on to the fence

Over 45.2: Geeves to Masood, no run, OUT, attempts the same shot, square drive, and gets a little edge through to Paine. PAK 8/185

Over 45.4: Geeves to Rehman, no run, OUT, picked up and clipped straight to Holland at mid on. Falling apart now, PAK 9/186

Talha will have to bowl like never before if pakistan are to have any chance of pulling this one off

Over 47.1: Holland to Talha, no run, OUT, tossed up and it's gone through the gate, bowled. Pakistan A dismissed for 188 runs.
