He said when he was batting he always found it much easier to strike the New and hard ball. His scoring was most difficult during the 15-35 over mark because the ball would be soft and difficult to hit.
The 2 new ball rule isn't helping the bowlers.

Yup bat first score 300+ and then 70% chances are that chasing team will lost their plot. So predictable

he is right and on top it, they make ptiches that doesn have much for the new ball. I do not understand why they are using drop-in pitches for Aus/Nz .......... all the fun is gone.
 
Dhoni still doesnt look comfortable at the increase to me! Still not at ease! His form is crucial for India in the QF!

That's probably because many of their stadiums are multi purpose. Rugby etc??
 
Is Holder dumb or something, why would you give breathing space to Indians by bowling Samuels

but still drop in pitch ....... too much going on in world of cricket. it is just not cool.
fielders, balls, pitches, no. of over, powerplays ..........
one or two minor innovations fine but this is too much.

New ball is swinging and zipping on these flat decks for 10 overs, rest of the forty overs, it's not too soft, no reverse and four fielders... It's not rocket science that these rules are made for batsmen.

If major market of cricket wants to see batsmen on flat deck, you will see lot more of it in next few decades. Cricket evolution is now in hands of India specially limited over. It's the test too, how they nurture and enriched its culture. One thing I always admired about Australian cricket culture that it's about quality in all three domains. Others have struggle to create such a culture.

At some point they will come back to contest between ball and bat, which is sole of cricket. Right now people are high on fast food, which has its own heart burn issues in not too distance future !!

This is rubbish for holder... I don't understand what experience has to do with it??? Even on street cricket we understand what is required here, I am not sure if international young players are educated or not, but man you have played cricket for 10 years (even if it's on street at times), you got to have some brain :facepalm:

MSD and Faulkner have to be the best finishers at the moment. MSD is an ATG if you compare finishers

Perth is the best pitch in Australia, second best is Brisbane. These are the two pitches in Australia, where toss don't determine the match. All other Australian pitches are a disgrace
