I really like Thirimanne-Mathews-Chandimal. They should be good enough to keep us afloat for a few more years yet. Kaushal Silva also has looked okay in tests. Chameera was shocking today but at least he's quick and I liked what I saw of Kaushal too.

As for us we don't really deserve to go any further any way if I'm being honest. Rubbish planning. Rubbish tactics. Rubbish fielding. Rubbish bowling. Rubbish fitness. And apart from a few top knocks from the usual guys nothing much to speak of with the bat either really. All in all a very disappointing WC given how good we were playing just a few months back. All that changed once Marvan took over. More than anything else tho really sad to see Sanga and Mahela leave in this manner. Not sure what Sanga was trying to do out there today. Easily the worst knock I've seen him play. Messing around with the top order really screwed us over. There was absolutely no need for that with the top order doing a great job in most of the other matches. Keeping wickets in hand should have been the game plan as India did against SA. But as has been the case throughout this WC, Marvan and co had other ideas.
